Go into your account in strava, click on the arrow next to your name at the top, then click account then enter promo code into the box on the left.Timmarinmomma wrote:I'm going to ask the obvious , but where do you enter the code???

Not having been on it for more than a few weeks what should I take advantage of while the premium membership is available?

I use it as a data backup to my garmin stats. Also it allows me to follow others on the forum, and compare rides and compete , with some.Interesting programme, i enjoy it and use it every day.Further, you can compete for pb's against your own times in the various segments created on rides.Or you can create your own segments. It also gives age breakdowns for the various age groups etc.Timkhendar wrote:Just curious, I see a lot of people talking about Strava. What are the benefits of Strava over something like Endomondo or MapMyRide ? Is it just more detailed information ? Larger community ?

Sounds pretty similar to what Endomondo does. The app has a "compete against self" function which gives you verbal updates as to your progress (ie 30 seconds ahead of pace etc). It sounds like Strava has a few more stats and I guess its popular here because its what a lot of people are using so you can compete against other forum members.TimW wrote:I use it as a data backup to my garmin stats. Endomondo is more fully featured but does not link you in with the rest of the community AFAIK. And I also think it doesn't automatically pull a segment out of a bigger ride.
