Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideRe: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideWhat are yo referring to the shirt? And the goading of who? I offered to be a leadout of a certain time trialist, with 800 to go an was told, we go from 10k. And with my legs already blown out from this mornings track sess, lead out I did for at max threshold until my legs blew. Another good ride though and I enjoyed it. Although there are a number of people questioning training in the morning then going to Richmond.....

Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideDisappointed but wont be going to the East Coast. Too much for a cabin at that time of the year. What time are you leaving on Sat to ride up Maste6? May ride up to Orford with you and return.

Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideForty short hours to go before this weeks ride heads down the laneway, and no threats or promises of cycling miracles from the usual suspects
Are you fellas running short of hot air????? Scared that Eric, fresh from TT stardom, is going to carve you up, chew you up , and spit you out?
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideI cna only promise that I will be bringing my trashed legs to the Wednesday ride with the only thought of getting another 60ks into my legs.

Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideNot sure how many turned up.
Many of the peloton turned early leaving just the few out to Tea Tree at a reasonable pace. master6 was the leader today and was the instigator of the attacks. ![]()
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideThanks to all on the ride this morning, my inaugral RBWR, especially BenevolantDictatorD who dragged me up to the bunch a couple of times.
lesson 1 - get some more km's in the bank, lesson 2 - the ride starts on time (as per Rule 87) I look forward to the next time.
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideAnother interesting day on the RBWR. The starting list was something like 19 strong although the late arrival of MarkPA wasn't recognised until after the turn. This ride is now so successful it has split into three divisions!!! Div 1 soldiered through the normal tea tree circuit keeping together for some of the time and chasing breadaways for the rest. A solid points win to Aaron for the Line win and mountain points over duckpond. If only we caould add 30 years on to him we might stand a chance! The pace was obviously a bit hot for some who kept going at the turn around. maybe next week? Div 2 was ably organised by Denis who had the team doing variations of taking turns and sped through the ride with smiles all around. Div 3 named themselves the recuperative grade and tootled up to Cole Hill and back. Most civilised.
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideTodays report has been well reported, and I can find only two observations to add.
Rod Hartridge arriving at 8.59.45am, and blatantly orgasmic about the fact that he was on time. The destroyer, Rob, performed his usual destructive feat and sent a rear wheel spoke to "spoke heaven" again. It did not prevent him from causing pain on the run below the duckpond.
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideSomeone wanted to prove a point today and did just that, his wheel almost got chopped by a unknown rider in one of the surges which almost sent him down. A broken spoke and a rear wheel flexing under you is not ideal for descending or time trialing or sprinting.

or climbing, or mono cycling, or newspaper delivery, or....................................much at all.
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideMan who have broken spoke in back wheel should rethink strategy of jumping train lines!!
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideWell if already broken not going to make any worse
Crit bike will be coming out next week ![]()
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday Ride
Give me my obstropolous hat....................I am prepared to debate that statement come to think of it,,,,,,,,,,i'm prepared to debate almost anything. Is there a multi sport event that includes a debating leg?
Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday Ride

Re: Richmond Bakery Wednesday RideThere seemed to be someone missing from the finish today.....
