Just a tally

16 jerseys
8 knicks
11 socks
3 caps

I still need to design and present - at which time I am certain that when everyone can see it - then people can better decide.

Cheers

BNA Cycling Kit Purchase

Hey Christopher, you need to double check your tally! The last few posts have copy and pasted older posts so some of our EOI's have got lost.
Within the limited view of tapatalk and my iPhone I can see the tally at over 25 jerseys, probably higher..

Yep, midway down the first page it goes from 7 jerseys to 3 in the space of one post.

Yep, I was sure I'd put an order in, and I had: http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewt ... 94#p718994

Re: BNA Cycling Kit Purchase

Postby AUbicycles » Mon Feb 20, 2012 2:01 pm

Thanks for spotting that.
Actually have now started on this - I want an amazing jersey that appeals to all. My first ideas didn't seems to do this though one trend will be, compared to the round 1 and round 2 jerseys is less text. I like the original jerseys though am tending towards a jersey that is a bit subtle in that BNA is referenced though bicycles.net.au or Bicycles Network Australia is less prominent. Also less retro / classic and highly likely, a more symetrical approach (ie. the single while armband is lost).

Perhaps a good time to ask - what did you like from the old jerseys and where do you see improvement (aside from what I have just mentioned)?

Once again, thanks Mike for being a driving force and making sure this isn't forgotten.

Cheers
Christopher

At the risk of being told to 'do a search',

Could anyone post pics of the first two styles? I've never seen them.

Thanks!

This is the idea... after long hours of thought and design.

It is bold, but still minimal. The website references are subtle - with mostly BNA as the reference and very compact and reduced mention of Bicycles network Australia and URL. (It's not a walking billboard - so takes on the BNA term that members are familiar with this and sticks with this - graphically/artistically integrated).

While the draft above doesn't perfectly demonstrate the effect, essentially it is black with the blue strips on the sides and the rings at the legs, arms and collar. BNA is integrated so it should be readable while also being somewhat artistic. BNA won't be obvious to all, but thats ok, it's going for looks rather than being an encylopedia. Compared with the previous jerseys - it moves away from a retro feel, though also consciously avoids copying popular styles and team jerseys. I am hopeing that the design, without to much more 'fancy stuff' makes it more appealing to more people.

We are looking at a full length zipper though I will need to check up regarding the opportunity to add reflectives and how they could look.

--

Happy for feedback... and really hope that you think it is a fantastic design and nice step forward.

Cheers
Christopher

Next Steps. I will give some time for feedback... and then get/confirm pricing.
Happy with the 'rough' tally here to continue - though the actual ordering will be seperate.

This design looks very good. The only minor concern I have is as a part time commuter could we add a contrasting stripe above the blue on the pant leg, say yellow. That will add safety with a moving flash of colour. Just my 2cents plus G.S.T.

Sometimes I wish we could have a like button! Thanks for all the effort in getting a design up Christopher!Personally I like it :) Agree with the point of view of appealing to more riders with a minimalist design! +1 :P

Design looks great, but I'm not a fan of wearing solid black from a visibility point of view. How would it look with the blue and black reversed?
