Finished it!

Postby vic » Tue Apr 01, 2008 10:24 am

Here's the latest on my Speedwell GTS. Surprisingly, the seals on the hydraulic brakes were intact. I was a bit nervy about using them at speed at first, but they work very well. The bike rides very well too. The seat was a nice addition, I picked up a racer at the tip for $15 with the Brooks saddle, replaced it, and then sold the bike for $40!

Well, I took the easy way out and simply dismantled, cleaned and re-mantled it. So thats what I get up to when my wife goes away!!
Cheers, Vic

The Speedwell looks like good fun. It's great to have something a little unique like your bike.

The Brooks saddle deal was brilliant.

Yeh thanks, I did have fun with it. Now that its finished though, I have to tell myself I don't need another Speedwell or Skidstar.....do I?

There are 7 days in a week and sometimes you do need a change of colour don't you? I don't think you should rule out another Speedwell or Skidstar just to be safe.
