Riding Cannondale Super V.s anyone

Hi all.
Big Cannondale fan (well when Cannondales where Handmade in the USA anyway)

Was wondering how many Cannondale Super V' s were still out there on the trails or roads.
I remember first seeing one at the Sydney bike show way back in 92' It was a V2000 on display and everyone wanted it.
The bike at the time was cutting edge (Still is, like San Andreas) with its single swaged downtube, seatmast with the famous headshock suspension up front all intergrated and packaged with the single pivot swingarm. drool, drool.
The bike wasn't really changed that much over the next 10 year mainly refinements in the swingarm pivots, with the biggest change being the introduction of the 'Super V Raven' a carbon version late in it build time, which did have some issues with its BB area.
So lets see em if they still out there. Super V, Super V actives, Super V Ravens gen 1 and gen 2
Ill' start with my roadified version which still is a blast offroad, love it.

It's certainly very late 80's in its looks. I certainly remember them as an aquaitance had one not disimilar - we thought he was mad.

Ever considered fitting a Lefty to it?

Yeh,
Everyone thought you were mad riding one of these back then, couldn't get their heads around the non diamond frameset. This ones a 95' Super V 'Viper red' (Cannondale team colours then), I like the lefty but I wouldn't want it on this,

A Super V with drop bars and Campag Ergos - messin with my head.

I had Cannondale 2.8 road bike back then and 'Cans' in general were pretty avant garde (at least until Trek OCLVs started showing up). I then thought MTBers were mad anyway, so seeing someone riding one of those would have simply confirmed my prejudices.

I have an occasional riding buddy who has a Raven with the Lefty's immediate ancestor on it - imagine if you will a Lefty on each side. Fork weighs a ton, but still very smooth and plush, as you'd expect.

It's one ugly bike ... only a true Cannondale tragic could love it

Those forks you speak of were the super motos I reckon also brought out on the Super V "freeride Version" big bulky bombproof mothers.
Back in 95' she cost me $4000. bog standard XT.

Sorry Jean, but it running Sachs ergopower shifters similar to campag but different throw mechs and Sachs Plasma (SRAM forerunner) 8 speed rear mech. Super fatty DL front fork with Avid disc and XT parallel push V brake bring up the rear ( no disc mount) 50T, 38T black spire chainrings on a Sach 110 new sucess crankset. Wheels are Velocity Deep V's with Mavic hubs.

Always been a Cannondale fan.

Currently riding a '11 supersix roadie and '09 Caffeine F3 hardtail.

My first proper mountain bike was a delta v2000 back in 93 (around then) I then got a roadie R200? a couple of years later. The Delta V cracked and I ended up with a killer V as a replacement frame, this would have been around the late 90s or even early noughties.

sold the r200 around 03 and the killer v was stolen around 06.

Got to borrow a flash carbon 29er hardtail just recently for about 4 weeks. There is a good chance I will be getting one.

I am about to hope on my 3rd dale... Only had to buy the first one .
So I must say that dealing with them has been a pleasure even though I changed hemispheres.

Haven't been on here for awhile, because of the improper font, politics and grammar correction I was getting
but here's my newly acquired Supe active V1000. added to the fleet.
This one will be a restor-fication.
