i think you should read what everyone says here and digest it, then promptly forget you ever read it. Then go and make you own mind up, see your GP, naturopath, homepath, traditional chinese medicine doctor, psychic, the queen or whoever else you go to for health maintenance and/or treatment and let them tell you what might help you.
But thats only my opinion, and i did just tell you to NOT listen to everyone elses

Company doctor is not quite an independent opinion. Remember, he who pays the piper, calls the tune. In this case,KonaCommuter wrote:Just saw the company doctor.

He said that he was happy with that. I'm at work so I'll marry that up with a little research. But yeah, better than 161/85
the tune might be to gather evidence that your employment is not a factor in causing high blood pressure or any of the ailments
it could be associated with.
FWIW, a normal blood pressure is less than 120 over less than 80. While your company doctor is happy you should
not be so reassured. Go pay a GP to make a full and independent assessment of your health. It really isn't that scary
and it's a whole lot cheaper than a premature funeral.
Cheers

Since you posted this (thanks) I've Googled around a bit and looked for a definitive answer to the caffeine and weight loss issue. There are so many contrary views on the issue it's confusing.nayfen wrote:Good work on the weight loss. Keep it up!
To lose weight faster, reduce your intake of caffeine(that dosen't say stop drinking coffee). Caffeine leads to an increase of insulin in your body which retards the burning of your stored fat. This is a simple chemical reaction in your body that you can change. Reduce your caffeine intake by 50% to 2 x single shot coffees a day and see what happens.
I did find though a clinical study by the American Journal Of Clinical Nutrition where quite a number of participants were observed over a number of years.
The study concluded that, by and large, caffeine consumption helped weight loss, albeit marginally, but didn't inhibit weight loss.
See the study here http://www.ajcn.org/content/83/3/674.full

The above sums it up for me (as Wombat also points out above).KonaCommuter wrote:

I am taking this very seriously.
Can't see for the life of me why people drink that energy drink CRAP. And it is just that.
It does you NO good whatsoever !!
