Hey guys,
I am going to Japan and I was wondering what is the most reliable Presta hand-pump out there? I am going to need to be pumping my tyres up to 60 PSI and I am looking for a metal and non-ultra expensive pump. $50 is the limit.
I don't mind if it only does Presta, but a dual head is welcome.
I was having a look at the Mammoth 2 Stage from Blackburn.
Is this a reasonable choice?
Lastly, should I be getting a pressure gauge as well? I don't really see it as being crucial since you'd have to be a nutter to overinflated a tyre to the point where it blows up and I have pumped up my Schrader tubes more than enough times to feel when it is around 60 PSI.
Cheers and thanks for any help,
Fluidz

I suggest you wander over to the Buying a bike / parts sub forum for these sorts of general bike accessories questions. There is a current thread on pumps at the moment. It can be found here. It should go a long way to answering your question.

What size tyre? Are you after mini pump or full size? High Pressure or High Volume?
