rain so tubeless new Pro Lite Allein *warning pic heavy

So it's been raining for the past 5 days.
I just bought a new camera so I was trying to practice the functions along with using a fully manual vintage lens.
4 days ago I purchased a set of Pro Lite Allein rims and rainy days are perfect to do a tubeless conversion since I can't ride.

Notes:
-I don't work for Pro Lite
-This is not a tubeless tutorial as there are heaps of of info on the forums and on youtube.


So here we go.
Box was good ...


The rims come with a 9mm qr and a 15qr conversion kit. Quite easy to change over

now time to install the tubeless strips



make sure the strips don't go over the lip otherwise you'll have trouble pumping it up to 30psi

only two goes trying to inflate with the rim strips only but I did cheat a bit - I have a air compressor


I generally leave it for about 30 minutes to see if it will maintain pressure

and this is how messy it gets after I try to pump it up to pressure and some goo leaks out


you shake shake shake ... rotate and then leave on one side


and then you get soapy water and look for leaks

Looks good with the white rims

Just watch the pressures, especially on the front. At 2.25 and 80kg rider, I found they were a bit scary above 25psi. Below 20 and you risk burping them off. I also reckon the directional arrow for the front is back to front. I've had two washouts with these tyres, one of which resulted in a busted collarbone, the second happened last weekend down at the Mont track and am contemplating switching to either Ardents or going back to Ignitors on the front.

The Ignitors used to scare me from time to time, but I always managed to catch it and stay upright (8 from but so far (2 from 2 on the deck) I haven't had the same luck with the NN's. I'm starting to think it might be time for an update to that article I wrote for BNA.

sunday the sun came out but obviously all the trails were washed out

looking at the bike where I left it (the last pic) I now have a strong urge to get a white saddle, white bar grips and change my cables from blue to white
