Here are some photos of my Colnago now completed. Although since these photos were done I have changed pedals to speedplay.
In anticipation of those purists claiming I should have restored it with all period componentry, I will be using this bike for competition so 8 speed with down tube shifters were out of the question.
Also after trialling so many different saddles, the SMP suits me and have gone for comfort as opposed to something period. (I do hope to one day father children.)
I absolutely love the campy wheelset, wish they still made them, hang on no I don't all the more reason these are so great, you just don't see them around.

I quite like this ride! how was the ride up? thought i would've been trecherous on the road up to cootha since its been very wet lately.

Well yes and no, last week was a write-off due to seriously bad weather but this morning was only a bit drizzly.
So I ventured up there this morning on the 'Star and had a great time.
It was cool and pleasant climb up the (windy) back way.
No wheelslip despite riding on worn out rear maxxis 700x23.
Across the top was a bit wet and played cat and mouse with a few dedicated roadies on S-Works and ? Trek.
Descent not full bore but the front (quarry) side of Coottha is the best way to descend in any weather IMHO.
All said it was a surprisingly excellent ride.

My new Vitus 979, imported from Europe 5 yrs ago, & built up with Sante, appears to have sat ever since. On arrival to me most parts needed adjustment from lack of use. Have had one ride of 38ks, its very smooth, soaks up the bumps, cassette 11/21 & chain rings of 53/39 are very tall for me, changes easily with a nice clunk, needs decent seat, brake pads, tires. Sante hubs laced to mavic rims, nice & true. Dura ace brakes. Splashed out $200 on pedals to match the Viner.

Doubt the frame has had much use, its been overbadged with the brand of "Soncini".Sunlight shows decals have been removed from the downtubes but is still in place on the headtube. VeloBase.com advise they have no info on this re seller.
Weighs 8.6kg (bathroom scales) The only complaint is the skinny bars?

Following on from "Speedy"my Speedwell, this is my Sydney bike. Its an old handmade John Mclachlan frame from Newcastle, using Columbus tubing and lug brazed. (Don't know age)
Components are some old Sachs new sucess, mixed with Shimano, old Dura ace wheels

Yep, got a watch on them. That guy has dodgy feedback though. Matuzmaster from Hungary had some just like your pic in your next post (which is what I really would like) but he wanted over $200 with $70 postage. Ouch!
