tree down, end of kissing pt rd turramurra

Postby markz » Mon Mar 05, 2012 7:38 pm

heads up!
a tree fell across the cycleway, bottom end of kissing pt rd, turramurra,
this is the fast section where road ends and becomes driveway and splits into cycleway.
be ready to unclip fast or fall into the mud like I did
or better stay on the driveway section.

Yep, I had a meeting with that tree as well. Had to brake very sharply when I realised that what looked like one of the overhanging bushes alongside the cycleway actually extended all the way to the ground. Didn't fall, but had to get off and walk around it through the mud.

The path is clear now and drying out nicely, but there is a lot of sand washed across the path just after the causeway. Gave me a distinct case of the wobbles when I rode through there this morning.
