Being that there will around 300+ cyclists, finding the route wont be hard and they always have lots of marshalls. Or find Master6 on his red steelie and sit on his wheel.

Not good advice. Following Master6 on Sunday could lead you anywhere, as he has joined the PMM team, and will be elsewhere.

Neither really, it's off Kangaroo Bay Drive. Basically turn at the lights on Rosny Hill Rd near Eastlands.

If driving from western shore go through the lights to the roundabout at the top of the hill, come through the roundabout and go back down the hill and turn left at the lights.

If riding from western shore use the downstream footpath then can either :
- ride up Riawena rd and after crest of hill, at the junction with Bastick, can join footpath/bike track and roll down past Rosny College to sports grounds
- (for leisurely ride) after coming off bridge turn right and go down to Montagu Bay then pick up the foreshore trail near the boat sheds and ride around the foreshore which will again take you around to Rosny College

The map I looked at looked ok, with the progress points and distances down the left side, however the graph cant be correct. It shows a 21.5% gradient approaching the top of Grasstree from Richmond. I dont need to dust off my spirit level to know that is incorrect.

Bike Tas Century, Half-Century rides

It looked like perfect weather for the ride today.
I was sitting on the Rosny Hill eating my fill at a family thing.
Hope everything went well for everyone. I watched a few guys zip by. Really wish I was there!

Was a great day out(you probably didn't want to hear that).
Weather was close to perfect , and the course was quite good.
Thanks to Bicycle Tas for organising.

Would be interesting to know numbers/attendance for the rides today.

great ride.

it was the most tame century ride that i have done, quickest but tame. Normally there isn't such a large front group, in my past experiences there is usually lots of smaller splintered groups. The big front grout became some what splintered at Malcolm’s Hut Rd, and then it fractures at the steep pinch on Back Tea Rd. A was in a second group after this steep pinch, it then took us, 5 of us (towing the taxman) 20kms to make contact with the front group.

Big ups to Dogga who did a lot of the work out the front
when do we stop for coffee???

Beautiful weather and lots of friendly cyclists made for a great positive. On the other side, a bit of road rage heading up the hill on Cambridge Road, heaps of traffic associated with the Richmond Fair, and my first 3 punctures for the year  . So while I enjoyed the day and look forward to next year, it was mixed in with a bit of frustration.
