I'm a version G supporter, but Version D could be a goer depending on the actual blue.

Must be hard designing by committee :D

I quite like the ensemble effect and am now considering the nicks as well, is there some idea of the chamois pattern? Just so I can compare to my usual...

I will do gold plated for you.. but it will cost :)
For the logo I would keep it yellow as it is better recognisable, though will discuss options for reflective tape / accents with the supplier.

Version H... after email feedback from David (thank you)

Image

I need some time to consider.. it is an accent with the view of visibility however if the yellow stripe was neutral reflective tape.. that would rock. It wouldn't detract from the design and would work well in the dark. The safety issue is still in low light conditions where headlights are not on and on stretches of road where more contrast is needed. This leads me however back to having two jersey versions...

The yellow doesn't work on the inverse design (blue body / black stripes).

Any more votes however for the yellow stripe?

More fine tuning... very close I feel.
I am presenting the two colour versions... Strada (blue top for better visibility) and Corsa (black... for faster racing)

In each, depending on the supplier and 'do-ability' I am showing a version with yellow rings - though preferred are the white reflective tape versions.
Havn't changed the orientation of BNA (on the right side yet) however have added 'Cycling is in your BNA' in a nice typo that I hope appeals. The knicks version is subtle and hey, it could make for some interesting conversation. The yellow ring is gone from the socks, they look better without this.

Strada (white) reflective for me. Corsa reflective looks awesome but on the road it would be the Strada.

Thanks for your work on the designs. They deserve to be a success.

Cheers,

The white stripe is a symbolic representation for reflective tape - like 3M tape - and something to discuss with the supplier.

Re: BNA Cycling Kit Purchase (Design Now Up)

Postby AUbicycles » Mon Mar 19, 2012 12:30 pm

Update! I am now moving this over to the the supplier to confirm design details and pricing.
Regarding numbers - looks like there are no problems doing a min. 50 units which was the main aim of the the tally - to ensure we have the numbers before moving forward. This means there is no longer any need to add yourself if you like what you see.

For ordering, once details and price is clarified, I will then set-up an order form where you can then review the sizes (for each garment) and put in an order. As per usual, I would run this like the previous jersey orders - payment up front. Anyone who has previously ordered a BNA jersey can vouch for me. Pricing would be average though is pending feedback on the reflective tape.

--

Question - I need some more BNA polos for myself. There is no minimum order and I am just checking if there is any interest as I would then create a order of BNA Polos. I am looking at smarter polo's and also some more sporting polo (a little more colour, though still smart).

I don't think I can justify more kit when (a) I have a drawer overflowing with gear already and (b) i'm barely riding. But i'm down for a polo, I live in Polo's.

FWIW, if I do end up buying kit it would only be the blue. From having a quick skim over the thread it appears low light concerns have already been identified with the black kit so I wont go there again :) Moving into winter in Vic the little riding I will get to do will almost always be in low light.

Updated!!!

You will notice 3 things:
1. on the knicks - the cycling in my BNA has been moved to the blue area and the position changed (it was back to front).
2. There are no longer yellow or reflective armbands.
3. On the back of both jerseys there is thin 'reflective' piping along the seems of the side panels and across the jersey pocket.

The reflective tape couldn't easily be done as intended (bands on arms / legs) it was noted that there would have been issues of 'scrunching'. This current reflective patten will give good visibility at night. Note - the piping on the sides is along the stiching of the side panels - the blue stripes are ca. 5cm wide and don't fill the entire side panel. The advantage is a stripe with the same dimension (side view) and also mean that XS through to size 4XL have a more consistant look... so a lot of black area (corsa) or blue area (stada) for larger sizes.

The piping has an effect on the price, however in the name of safety, a worthwhile investment ... and it will look good.

open questions
I am after the general interest... at additional cost we can get:
a. Flatlock Stiching - it will look good and on the black Corsa kit we are looking at blue stiching and on the blue stradea kit, black stiching - for the effect.
b. Silicon Waist Band - on the inside rear of the jerseys, so they sit nicely. Is it worth a few dollars extra?

Next Steps:
• Gather feedback on the two questions (or if there is outrage at any other details).
• Get my supplier quote and cost it all up
• Start Orders

I'm good with the contrasting flatlock stitching, the silicon gripper not so much.

It may be possible to have knicks and bib knicks, have to check the minimums required and then thus could be something where we need to fill a quota.
