Tour de MikeTour de MikeActually it was a certificate for completing CPR.
but you were close, I was on my way to Newtown to get an Xray If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Re: Tour de MikeHope you got in quick for the ken dinnerville just went on to sign up for it to find out it was full within 15minutes.
Re: Tour de MikeEven during those 15 minutes some missed out as the credit card charging system was playing up.
I was intending to apply while I was on the train but I forgot my iphone cable and couldn't do the internet on the train, but fortunately I reached work at 9.05am, just in time. If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Re: Tour de Mike
Nope it was 13min according to the people I rang at Cycling NSW. My meeting finished at 0940, so I was way out of luck.
Re: Tour de MikeUm, not looking good for Ken Dinnerval
Looks like my collar bone will be getting plated If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Re: Tour de MikeMy bad, its not until Sun 27 May 12, so I should be right

What's the long term outlook for it Mike? Foo I don't suffer fools easily and so long as you have done your best, you should have no regrets.

Re: Tour de MikeBack from the specalist. Getting it plated is now optional
So basically I have two options and both are wrong Either way I'm looking at another 4 weeks If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Re: Tour de MikeAfter fully reviewing it I definitely need it to be plated. Seeing another specialist on Monday, with the viewpoint of getting it done on Tuesday

Tour de MikeCollarbone plated yesterday, it included a bone graft.
4 hours sleep, had a morphine injection at 4am, but it didn't help me get back to sleep. Trying breakfast TV now If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Re: Tour de MikeHope it is a success!
as for sleep, if brekky tv fails, you always have the lunch to mid arvo tv as a backup n=10 (2013 & 2004 roads,2010 track,2x 2009 foldups,1990 hybrid,1992 trainer,2007 rental,1970's step through,1980's zeus)
Re: Tour de MikeWhen I had my collarbone plated (about 14 months ago?), the nurse warned me when I was on the postop morphine NOT to eat anything.
"You'll be sorry" she said. "Trust me everyone throws up..." Of course, I ate something. And guess what happened..... She came in to help me and said, "You boys you never believe a nurse who's seen it a hundred times before..." Best of luck with the recovery Mike. I know how hard it is but do the right thing and its all good (eventually!).... Cheers, Abby
Re: Tour de MikeI'm home now, but its a veg out day, probably tomorrow too
Here's the hardware If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Re: Tour de Mike
Sorry Mike, it looks like you bought a pet lizard. We need better quality than that.
Re: Tour de MikeI've restarted spin classes and commuting. Happy with that, its only been 2 1/2 weeks
If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Tour de MikeThe classes are going fine, I've added bike commuting on a borrowed flat bar bike and will probably migrate to my fixie next week, assuming my test on Sunday goes ok 80 on the race bike, to test the shoulder out.
Legs are a bit dead, presumably an indicator that my fitness has taken a small hit. Suspect they will bounce back pretty quick. Thinking about doing the 170 at blaney to Bathurst for a fitness assessment If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Re: Tour de MikeAnother milestone, did my first training ride, the clubs Sunday ride. It was also my first ride on a race bike. Conclusion, a little soreness in the shoulder, but not an issue. Legs despite being rooted prior provided good power. A noticeable drop in cardio fitness which I expect to bounce back pretty quick.
Can't be anything but very happy with that result If the R1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
Re: Tour de MikeI've entered Blaney to Bathurst (B2B) cycle sportif on the 22nd, the new 170k route. To act as a fitness test. In 2009 I broke 5 ribs and punctured a lung, the 110k B2B was my returning fitness test, so I'll use the new 170k route for this year as my comparative. I've put myself in the 3540kph group
