Hi fellow NSW riders,
I am heading up to Mosman over the Easter Holiday. Just wondering are there any shared paths that goods for a leisure ride around 75km.
Don't care where to ride to, round trip or return. I can also do some quiet roads. But no more than 10% climb please.
I did some searches (NSW cycleway maps), which do not help much, and there seems to be a lot of crazy climb around North Sydney......

Thats one hell of a leisure ride.
If you ride at night / very early / weekends. One option head over the bridge and link up to the several "loops" that will take you around the inner and outer city.
Not a daily thing but definitely worth your while. On a weekend or once a week.
There are some smaller less used roads around north head but not of the distances you mentioned.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Do I take Military Road and go south over the Bridge?
Still have not find any major trail/shared path that continues for like more than 10 kms without being cut up.....

I'd head up towards Church Point, Akuna Bay or Palm Beach.
You want to be doing this early in the morning, and it is safer in a bunch.
Enjoy,
JM

The bridge can be a bit tricky if you don't know the area- you have to use the "cycle way" on the west side of the bridge which requires walking up 50 odd stairs
Anything you can do, I can do slower

'Shared path' and 'Mosman' (some would say 'Sydney') don't even like being in the same sentence, seriously. Its road, or nothing. You could try heading north, over the Spit Bridge (on the western side footpath), then loop around and up to Seaforth, and across the top and down to Manly. At least then its a 'destination ride', not just a big wander. Big climb coming back though, unless you go up round Fairlight, but there's not a lot of paths. Mosman is fairly elevated. You invariably drop downhill to the north, west and south of Mosman, and get pretty wet if you go east.slidetaker wrote:Hi fellow NSW riders,
