Hi everyone,
I'm planning a trip to the Dandenongs and would like some advice on the best road to take. The most direct routes I can see are Tookrak Rd/Burwood highway or High st. How safe are these roads? What do other cyclists use? Is there a better way?
Thanks for your time

Both work and each have their advantages. Just to be contrary, I most often ride out on High St and then back on Burwood Hwy....

I ride Burwood Hwy both directions. It's wide and not many problems. If you leave early, there is negligible traffic on the way out so you only have traffic on the way back. It's not a particularly enjoyable part of the ride though... just gets you to the destination!
I seem to remember the 1:20 was being re-surfaced though - is that all done now?
