The DT Swiss rims are pretty heavy, and when I get used to the bike more, I may look into some lighter wheels. But so far this bike suits me to a tea.

Well done. I am the same with my bike. It's my first and I cannot compare it to my 2011 Hybrid as its a different bike altogether, but the Focus is something else and has taken me a bit to get used to. But I love it and it rides fast.luckyphil wrote:Thanks mate , i bought it off a mate 3 weeks ago and its my first road bike so i really have nothing to compare it against but it is very stable and seams very light and responsive so i am loving riding it

The rider never fell off this seat - it's actually perfectly level, but the dip in the saddle is very pronounced so to get it level you have to have it so the front looks very high.jules21 wrote:i wonder if the rider has worked out why he keeps falling off the back of the seat?Rich-Ti wrote:6.7kg like this:
The saddle is a Tune Speedneedle - an image search will show it looks odd on most bikes! I use a Fizik Kurve Chameleon now.

Haven't weighed it yet but is certainly not 8.5kg, I would say closer to 7.7 - 7.9kg as is ....

8.6kg without pedals for this build at bicyclingaustralia.com.au. Not that it's very important though as long as the bike works the way it should.Dr.Nate wrote:redcorpsjames wrote:how much does it weigh in. Very nice looking bike. Thanks for that. I bet it gets up and hauls. Does it climb well? Is it stable on descents?Crowella wrote:Yup, I am more than happy with it. Love it heaps. I was quite scared at first but now I feel at home on it,

That's exactly what the insurance company told me...and everyone elseBrisVegas wrote:^^^ perhaps it's time for a towball/hitch receiver bike carrier??
Only problem is that i'll have to install a tow bar to suit the Thule hitch mount carrier.
I'm also designing an early warning system in my driveway. It consists of a sensor light that peers over the car to detect bikes on the roof and a red flood light. Maybe police lights and siren too

Had some friends do the same thing. They now have 3 large reflective fluorescent signs on the rear garage wall saying check for bikes. Its the first thing you see when the door opens.pawnii wrote:That's exactly what the insurance company told me...and everyone elseBrisVegas wrote:^^^ perhaps it's time for a towball/hitch receiver bike carrier??
