Here's my Council Clean up UO8/AO8??
Resprayed and built up with spare parts. Had to buy a new french thread BB from Velo Orange..the most expensive part of the whole thing was the tyres and tubes and the pressure packs. The stem and bars were off an old International but the stem was too big so swapped out for a smaller generic quill.

Hi spewyeiw

Seriously nice bike. :D

Here is my Peugeot that I have owned since 1978, been neglected for a few years, but now destined to shine once more. :D
Still rides, broken spoke in rear, front DR does not shift, front brake shoes worn down, BB loose, chain has a tight spot and so jumps in taller gears. Only thing done to it for the past 30 years has been air in tyres, occasionally, and left in the rain to wash the dust off.

Does anyone know a source of early 90s decals? I'm about to restore a 1991 Iseran and the only decals i can find are earlier and a slightly different font.
EDIT: it's exactly the same as the bike in this thread http://www.bikesmoveus.com.au/showthread.php?t=4098

Had a decent gumtree find last weekend. Picked up a Peugeot Trail mountain bike.
I think I'll build it up as a flat bar 650b tourer/biketrack machine for the fiancee, though she will probably be the wife by the time I get around to it.
Please excuse the pictures - Straight off Gumtree - More to follow.

As you can appreciate I wasn't really sure what I would find when I offered to take it after seeing those pictures, but for $15 I couldn't say no!

My new 1991 (I think) Peugeot Kings Canyon MTB.
Hardly ridden with a complete Shimano Deore DX groupset (including pedals).
I put some air in the tyres, wiped it down and took it for a ride, beautiful!

Sold before I moved to Australia!

Many good times were had together, my 1999 Peugeot 306 Rallye, at Cadwell Park and Oulton Park.

Here's youtube vid some people may not have seen yet. Inside the Peugeot factory in 1985 it briefly shows the computer controlled direct brazing like on my Hurricane as well as other MTB's and how easy it is to tweek a frame by hand, there's even bike hang gliding at the end.

A mate found 'an old bike' and dropped it off for me, turns out it's an R10. Can't find anything besides an old bikeforums thread which describes a pretty much identical bike. Steel rims laced to high flange Normandy hubs, plastic Simplex clamp on downtube shifters and front derailleur, the rear has been changed for a Suntour Honor (sensible move :) ). Has Mafac centrepull brakes front and rear and a pretty ATAX stem.

Only problem is, it's in AWFUL condition, there's a couple of rust spots that could well be almost all the way through, the only way to know is to strip it all and see what happens, fingers crossed. Should be able to get some pics up this week.

O for awesome! i'm trying to find my ssc groupset the hardway. :(

had a 501 front hub, just go the rear hub, with the simplex shifters and ssc front derailleur, going to be an extremely expensive task to collect the chainset, rd modolo/mavic brakes and calipers. (wondering if its worth my while  )

I think that is 70 euro, not 70K.

Just an update on my R10, i've started stripping the parts off it (yippee got a 24.0mm seatpost i can pop in my 91 Iseran), in the process of removing said seatpost i noticed something shoved in underneath the saddle. Pulled it out, dusted it off and found i was holding a Mafac tool bag complete with Mafac mini tools and an unopened Velo patch kit :D . Very cool.
