Hi everybody,
I'm headed over to Europe mid July, where I hope top catch some of the Tour and afterwards do some MTBing in Switzerland. I've done some research and there are good sites with trail info etc., however in a foreign land I would feel more comfortable if I had a guide. I only have a few days so probably couldn't join a full blown tour, which unfortunately is what most companies offer. Does anyone have suggestions for other options? I'd like to do some trails in the Alps, so if any of you have had any experience in this area I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you all.

Drop into Verbier. In the summer you can rent a good bike (anything from xc to dh) in town and hook up with a guided day tour operated by one of the bike shops in the village.
The cablecars operate for the riders in the summer so you get a lot of riding and cover a lot of terrain.
