Cycling club near redern

Hi all,

I recently moved from Melbourne to Redfern, Sydney. I've also only recently started cycling - but have now become well and truly addicted.

I'm looking to join a cycling club. I've never been part of one before, and don't want to join something too serious - just looking for a group who ride regularly on weekdays and weekends, and do interesting day rides.

Can anyone recommend a cycling club that would suit a novice and is near Redfern?

I've just joined the Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club and they seem a friendly, sociable lot. A lot of their rides actually kick off in Marrickville so that makes things a little closer to Redfern as well.

AFAIK there's also a Sydney Uni club (SUVelo) though they perhaps seem a little more hardcore.
