Don't know about the LACC guys but we copped the headwind out to waterfall and again from about Sutherland back into the inner west, really took the stuffing out of me.vander wrote:
Did the group cop it on the way back also? Those of us that did the RNP got smashed on the way back by it.

Long term it should save us a little bit of money but most of all it is something we all enjoy doing together.

Lovely morning commute today - cool at the start, but very pleasant once I'd climbed the first hill. Full fingered gloves and arm warmers worked well. Met a few friendly riders on the road and most motorists seemed to be in a good mood as well.
Ride safe, all.

Cool but not cold - I think we are in for a cold winter so I am begining to line up the thermals.
Need to find some warmer gloves over the next few weeks - not for me but for Mrs Westab - and she wants pink (not again) the worst thing is then she wants me to ride with her.
Currently - Pink bike, pink bibon, pink basket, pink helmet, and she wants anything else pink for her bike - then she wonders why I give her a hard time about her favourite colour when she tells me she's not obsessed with pink - the good thing is she loves riding her pink bike.
No.2 kid is currently having bike envy as she too wants all things pink - but she has to wait till she grows out of her current bike. The funny thing is I caught her hanging on the play equipment with her arms with her 25kg younger brother holding her legs - when I asked what they were doing their answer was trying to speed up the growing process so they could get new bikes Kids got to love them.

I met a Japanese bloke at the lookout at Otford who Had cycled from Cairns and was headed to Melbourne and then Tassie.
Massive effort good on you Yuniko
Anyway the Otford Wall is still hard but not too daunting these days.
Hope you have a great ride.
Cheers,
Peter

Two rides this morning - the first at 6am to pray with a mate and then to work at 8am the first one felt cold but the second was very enjoyable.
I think this winter is going to be a read cold one.

+2 It was starting to cut in a bit. Going to HAVE to get winter gloves, it's just too cold on the hands. Unsure how much of a hardman I can be as far as the legs go, so far so goodwestab wrote:+1 to getting cold.
