Re: Youtube Track VidsA few weeks ago at RAW there was a lap and a half to go and a big bunch, four or five abreast coming around the bend. Less experienced guy in the sprinters lane cracks and decides to pull up! The noise in the velodrome ceased and every heart stopped but somehow everyone managed to get up-track without running out of boards. I think there were a few damaged chamois in that race. I don't think I've seen a slower last lap after that one outside of novice grade.
Re: Youtube Track VidsSpent 20 Mins digging this up for the benefit of this thread. I know you'll love it.
Please watch fullscreen, It'll make it all the better!

Re: Youtube Track VidsI couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this video when scrolling through track youtube videos. Watch right to the end of the race, and take note of what the cyclist in the red jersey does.

Re: Youtube Track Vidsi was going to make a smart remark (re: vicky's clip about it looking more like a range rover ad, until at the end it turned out to be a range rover ad !!!
the commentators tried to say the 2nd place guy was trying to congratulate the winner. LOL. he (and the rider behind) was mega-aggressive during the motor paced component, and followed through at the end with the same rider. "that'll learn ya!"
Re: Youtube Track Vids
I thought it may have also been a response to the fact that he put his hands up when he finished and his pace slowed down and this caused the rider (the evil one) to nearly beat him. When he didn't beat him he may have been angry that he didn't and also that he put his hands up when he was so close behind him, maybe indicating he thought he was getting a bit too big for his boots. EDIT- I know putting your hands up after a race is considered to be normal in very important and special events but I've been told (and do) put in maximum effort, all the way to the line.
Re: Youtube Track VidsOnly in America would someone purposefully drag someone else down like that, so dangerous.

Re: Youtube Track VidsReally dangerous riding!
I think he got the crappers with the guy for going in and out of the sprint lane. After the first exit you can see the red and green guy makes a dive for the lane which he is allowed to do if I'm not mistaken. I assume he gives the guy in front a mouthfull when he drops back down, as you can see the guy in front turn around. From there he goes up out of the sprint lane again and then drops back in, driving the red and green guy right down onto the apron. If I was in that position, I might not have done what the guy did, but I'd certainly be giving the eventual winner a piece of my mind!
Re: Youtube Track VidsYou've just got to wonder what's going through the mind of the front rider as that wheel begins breaking up!
