He is an exciting rider. Dominating the sprints in the Tour of Lankawi. And one in Qatar or Oman from memory.Parrott wrote:Thanks, I'll know him as "Guardini of the bunnyhop" now.
He sprints like Cav. The expectation was that he would be like Cav after the similar record in Asia. But it doesn't seem to have quite happened unfortunately.
But now he both sprints and bunny hops like Cav (remember Cav's bunny hop finish at the TDF.) Indeed he went one better and bunnyhopped over Cav!

Wasn't that at Vuelta last year as he was crossing the line for a win ?ft_critical wrote: But now he both sprints and bunny hops like Cav (remember Cav's bunny hop finish at the TDF.) Indeed he went one better and bunnyhopped over Cav!
I have that pic as a screen saver

Elia Favilli of Farnese Vini. Initially reported as Guardini but corrected; he was also behind his teammate and the results show Guardini crossed the line first.Parrott wrote:Who was that bloke with the bunnyhop

TTT - Verona. Flat plus technical and of course an awesome place to start. Barracuda, Sky, Orica, Liquigas, the Shack, don't care after that.

Hopefully he can get some more tonight.
How are TTT points allocated - do each of the team members get the points ? Or is it the first one across the line ?

They will crash at the first blow of wind or the first tight corner. Whichever comes first.Daccordi Rider wrote:What? No Euskatel?ft_critical wrote:Seems to be a lot of clouding the forum with facts and spoiling the fun

seems like he's allowed to continue - i thought he had to finish the stage to continue the race, so leaving in an ambo would have meant he's out of the race

I wondered about that too. I read something somewhere about him being driven over the line in the ambo, but I've no idea how that would affect things.JV911 wrote:+1MichaelB wrote:Glad to see that Phinney is OK.

Funny competition for last though, given Ferrari's relegation.velonews wrote:The American was also allowed to cross the finish line in the ambulance, as outlined in UCI regulation 2.6.027:

Garmin will be very hard to beat. Don't think they (Orica that is) have a chance.RICHARDH wrote:So does GreenEdge have a chance to take the Maglia Rosa tonight?

Stage 5 will be interesting. Wonder if Cav is suffering from his fall on Stage 3 - from the telecast, he lost a bit of bark !!

Oh well, at least he has one win, and maybe the next two stages will see him extend his lead a bit in the points jersey comp.
Looking fwd to the telecast tonight and tomorrow !!!
