It's the powerhouse museums photo of the day, http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/imageservices/from the Tyrell Collection, half plate glass negatives mostly from the late 19th century. 120 years old and still crisp and clear.

Yeah I noticed the chain too. Makes it bloody hard to steal her saddle, you'd presumably need a chain breaking tool on hand.
