Another c r c order

Postby steellife » Sun Apr 20, 2008 6:35 pm

Hi guys/gals
More of a regular reader than poster here.
I'm halfway to free postage on a Chain Reaction Cycle order which I'll finish probably mid-week.
I live in Rockingham and commute to Welshpool each day, so if you'd like to jump in on the order let me know, I'll be happy to meet and deliver booty.

Cheers
Julien

With an addition to the order - thanks Nathan - still approx $175 short of free post.

If anyone is tempted, send me a message and I'll add to the list.

Too bad I've already bought all the stuff I need. We had an order go through a few weeks ago and I haven't felt the bite of the Upgrade Bug since then.

Next time, maybe, if the wife's not watching too closely .... ;)

Order has been made - free postage achieved.
Thanks Double Gee, Caelum and Aushiker.

The Brooks B17 narrow for Double Gee is due in on 2/5/2008, so that will hopefully define the post dispatch date.

Will sort out payment on reciept with you guys when we get the goods.

Cheers
Julien

Update to those in this purchase. There is a delay with dispatching the order, one of the items has gone out of stock - the saddle they were supposed to have in a week ago.

I have put an email in requesting advice on delivery (and the out of stock issue) will advise when I know more - very frustrating... want my goodies!

Did an order yesterday with c r c for two pairs of Shimano M520 pedals. Weight for two pairs came in under 1000g (10GBP delivery). Worked out to be $51 per pair - over 15% - 30% cheaper than I could find in LBS's or online shops here. Hopefully arrive in 4-6 days. Looking forward to not having to swap pedals between MTB and Repco roadie.

PS: How do I add a 'pound' symbol to my text?

Well Caelum, you were right about the best laid plans...
below is latest reply fro c r c. They are very slow, as the Brooks saddle has been in stock for two weeks and now they've discovered other problems...
I have requested that for the sake of expediency they forget about the pedals and glasses and send the order ASAP (also added that I don't expect to pay post because of their foul up).
Has me thinking twice about ordering from them again

Hi,

Unfortunately your order has been brought into the office with a problem with the parts in the order. The SHIMANO 105 SL PEDALS 5610 SILVER (69346) and PRO JETSTREAM GLASSES BLUE FRAME + 3 SPARE LENSES (60587) that you ordered are not available. Would you like to amend the order or simply cancel the items from the order to enable us to ship the rest of the parts?

If you could let us know what you would like to do with the order it would be appreciated. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Regards
Heather

Aushiker, Caelum & Double-Gee

c r c have confirmed we still have free postage on our order and will dispatch ASAP without the glasses and the shimano pedals; one month and two days since the order was placed.
I will contact you guys as soon as they land and arrange to catch up.
Cheers
Julien

okay, post arrived today finally - great excitement in household generally.
I have to distribute:

arm warmers, endura thermolite
chain, KMC
lights, firewire
brooks saddle and brooks spanner

I'm working out of Welshpool office this week, with a few commute rides from Rocko. Let me know how / what suits for delivery and I'll meet up and deliver!
