Holy geebus... some gorgeous bikes on this page of the thread. My jealousy gland is going berserk! I'm starting to think about how I can make more money.

Must... restrain... 1st world greed impulse...

The crank arm was painted and the SRAM red frogs are stickers ;)

Heres my Apollo Cadence C. I am pretty happy with the end result. The tyres are not pumped, so the gap between the seat tube and tyre looks bigger then it actually is.

Keep this one, very nice.
Clearly Mrs Rabobank89 isn't a cyclist?

There's alway room for more bikes in our place, I'm about to bring home my 2nd roadie and Mr MM is starting the process toward his third!!

Yeah, pedals were just for a test ride. Aldi stand is not very good, bike moves all over the place. I built the bike for $1250 so I'm quite pleased with it.

Something a bit out of the ordinary for you lot:

As far as appearances are concerned what I like most about this bike is the quality of the finish on the frame, a lovely metallic blue over most of it with glossy carbon weave fork and chainstays. Hard to do it justice in photos but here are some attempts.

Depends on the engine ;)

Climbing mostly comes down to power to weight ratio of course, and while this is definitely light by recumbent standards it's still not quite as lightweight as a good road bike. I did weigh it today, using the not very accurate bathroom scales differential method, and as pictured (with lights and bag containing pump, tools and spares) it came out at 11.2 kg. Without the accessories it's 9.8 kg.

I've never felt that it's been really holding me back on hills and I can certainly climb on it better than most people expect a recumbent to climb. :-D

Sort of... Bacchetta do have some sort of sponsorship arrangement with a group of amateur racers who compete in US ultramarathon cycling events. As part of this marketing plan they include the word 'Team' on their top end frame and their (recumbent specific) Bacchetta branded jerseys.

Go Team!

It's easy to adjust the size of your uploaded images so they can be seen in your post. Just scale down the images by lowering the number after the /s in the image URL. :) Just experiment and preview a little before you post.

eg. ..../s640... gives this

..whereas ...s/320...gives this
