Recumbents and all feet forward machines

I was asked "how do you fall off a tricycle?"
First take a Greenspeed GTR tadpole trike with Sachs drum brakes.
Reverse the brake levers and re-route cables so they form an eight inch arc from the top of the handlebar around to the cable entry on the hub. Pic at photobucket dot com search for chuck_chunder (sorry, can't post links yet)
Now ride over the Narrows Bridge heading south. As you descend the bridge path on the southern side notice the roadies approaching from the other direction. Move over toward the left of the path so that you just clip the overgrowing bushes with your left front wheel, like you've done a gazillion times before.
It is important at this point to make sure there is a branch just sticking out a little more than the others. And to hit the branch at just the right depth to snag the brake cable.
Then voila, the branch will snag the cable, drawing it onto the the tyre, which will drag it around the wheel, locking the left brake. This will immediately spin the trike around the left wheel, turning you sideways to the direction of travel. The right tyre will then dutifully grip the path and you will unceremoniously fall off the trike as it flips onto it's side, still travelling at whatever speed you happened to be doing.
Makes for a real spectacle, and if you time it right, bikini clad girls from the nearby ski beach will come to check you're ok.....

I didn't mean hard
but
hit the grass rolling curb
over not once but twice before hitting the ground
Lucky he's already knocked his brain out in a car a year before
so all is well
And I'd thought it was hard to turn one over.

Outstanding effort Chuck, no doubt you were just as surprised  as the approaching DF riders. Now did you say you were tended to by bikini clad girls, or you wished you were tended by bikini clad girls.

Ouch ! Good effort. I didn't think it was possible, but it just goes to show how resourceful 'bent riders can be.

have never found them much of a problem. wouldn't want to be riding in a close group in high winds though : ) beauty of the trike is it's stability.

I think you should probably put the second pair on your feet, since the first pair are otherwise gainfully employed as "stocking fillers" (and it's not even Christmas).
