Zero-bike budget rally, Victorian Parliament steps, 7.30-8.30am, Thursday 21 June.

Thousands of Victorian bike riders will jam the steps of Parliament later this month to condemn the Baillieu Government’s decision to cut funding for bike infrastructure to zero.

I'll be there without bells on.
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Good piece by Jan Garrard today. Essentially, spending on bike infrastructure makes sense. Cutting that spending is stupid. Meanwhile, back at the RACV lunch for subsidised car makers and road builders and Ministers ...
