Thanks for your interest. The hand cranked trike on the right has a three speed / coaster brake on the front wheel, gear change next to seat on right. The stand up red trike has a 250 watt elect. motor running through a six speed cluster. Both these bikes I built for people with special needs. Any more questions just ask. I have more !
PS I hope the photo came through.

Very interesting, you built them from scratch? I particularly like the camber of the wheels on the purple trike. I've seen the same thing on race wheelchairs, I assume it helps them track in a straight line?

Your photo came through as a link rather than am embedded image. Next time use IMG tags like this and it should appear in your post as below.

Sydguy, no I do not sell them. I with a few mates build them for people to their needs, the purple trike was for a 13yo girl with Spina Bifida. The wheel angle is for stability. CRAY- thanks for the (img) info.

Cool. Great that your building them for folks in need.

I was thinking of getting something for ky folks, mum has dementia and dad loves to cycle. A lung condition knocked that idea on its head though.

There is a study underway about cycling for more mature people, and the health benefits including reduced risks of dementia. Cycling is the new super drug to combat the sedentiary lives people lead these days.

Keep us posted on your builds please!

They are some bikes we have built in the past. I have at present 3 trikes, photos later. Bob

They are nice looking bikes.

I see a guy in the 'gong out and about on an upright trike pretty frequently.

Have had a few chats with him over time, and know he was a keen rider on two wheels but motor neuron disease (I think?) wrecked his balance so the trike lets him get around and keep active and independent. Ironically I often see him at the supermarket loading up his trike while I'm in the car. He's got electric power assist now, but still going strong.

Thanks for the reply Bob.
I`ll keep an eye open for you next time I'm up there. I'm thinking a trike would be good for our daughter for a number of reasons, and it would be interesting to see some of your machines.
Cheers, Rob.

Rob, I have a small frame trike I made for my sister in law. I would be happy for you to try it out. Bob.
