So what do we think people, would love to see more media coverage of the series. Hopefully SBS continue to show there strong support and even start to show more. The Teams for this year wonder if a couple more will be elevated to the big show Plan B Racing Team Erdinger Alkoholfrei - Downer EDi Mining Aaron Slavik Trent Carman Alex Malone Ben Carman Alex Smyth James Szollosi Andrew martin Tomas Szollosi Ben King Reuben Donati Brad Hall Rafael Vainikka Chris Beeck Kristian Juel Daniel Bonello Daniel Furmston Jackson Mawby James Ibrahim Logan Calder Luke Joyce Peter Hatton Peter McDonald Theo Yates Trent Morey Team Jayco-Capilano Honey Shotz RBS Morgans-ATS Pro Cycling Edward Bissaker Cameron Peterson Mitchell Lovelock Fay Joe Lewis Jordan Kerby Darren Rolfe David Edwards John Walker Jackson Law Benjamin Hill Alex Edmondson Nicolas Dougall Jack Beckinsale James Hepburn Bradely Linfield Hayden Brooks Trenton Day Mark Jamieson Team Down Under Team Torq/BSS Justin Vanstone Brenton Jones Nicholas Woods Jarryd Jones Jacob Restall Mark Fenner Alex Wohler Scott Butler Mathew Marshall Billy Sewell Stuart Mulhern Damian Mason Ben Cutajar Jack Haig Geoff Straub Robbie Hucker James Stretch Michael Troy Kieren Lewis James Rix William Draffen Douglas Freeburn Team John West Cycling Genesys Wealth Advisers Brock Daniel Roberts Jonathan Lovelock Steve del Gallo Kyle Marwood Dean Sanfilippo Kane Walker James Butler Jason Rigg Michael Knoff Campbell Flakemore Trent Derecourt Blake Hose Nick Brain Tom Robinson Oliver Kent-Spark Sam Davis Rene Kolbach Pat Shaw Remi Valentin Joel Pearson Nathan Earle Anthony Giacoppo Alex Carver Ben Dyball Nic Sanderson Pensar-Hawk Racing GPM Wilson Racing Thomas Collier Phillip Grenfell Dane Macky Sam Rutherford Jarred Rowney Andrew Crawley Ryan Quade Caleb Jones Maxime Ruphy Dale Scarfe Hadleigh Milligan Josh Taylor Terence Maguire Julian Hamill Christopher Klem Alastair Loutit Peter Spencer Jake Magee Sam Stow Nash Kent Ed White Alex Wong African Wildlife Safaris Cycling Team St George Cycling Club Steve Waite Jeremy Scott Josh Egbers Josh Cornish Luigi Vecchio Samuel Nelson Ben Hilleard Jordan Davies Book Kiak Yeo Ben Whittemore Alistair Crameri Mitchell Codner Jaime Nightingale Jay Dutton Nick Mitchell Jeremy Cameron Zachary Quinn James Henry Budget Forklifts Search2retain Sam Witmitz Cameron Bayly Mark O'Brien Cal Britten Shaun McCarthy Charles Howlett Peter Loft Jake Klajnblat Luke Ockeby Luke Fetch Jason Spencer Neil Van Der Ploeg Brian McLeod Tom Donald Michael Cupitt Nick Walker Peter Herzig Luke Davison Blair Windsor Marc Williams Ryan McNally Suzuki / Trek Blackburn Cycling Club Brendan Johnston Tyler Sprurrel William Lind Trevor Spencer Ivan Michelin Beard Stephen Cousins Damien Wright Fergus Sully Tim Cameron Mitchell Barry Mitch Flynn Alistair Donohoe Philip Jermyn Mitch Pearson Josh Lind Jamie Lacey Data#3 Racing Parramatta Race Team (PRT) David Brown Daniel Okeefe Stuart Cowin Luke Collyer Nick King Maucauley Mulhall Dave Melville Antony Dimitrovski Callum O'Sullivan Chris Boogert Sam Wood Ben Harvey Adam Allen Michael Phelan Matthew Chew Hayden Kegg Samuel Volkers Todd Greenland Richard Allen Ben Trojko Simon Hammond Team SASI Pure Tasmania Cycling Team Brett Aitken Joel Stearnes Harry carpenter Alex Clements Fraser Northey Danny Pulbrook Phil Mundy Aaron Jones George Tansley Jack Matthews Miles Scotson Jake McMahon Robbie McCarthy Sam McCallum Tom Kaesler Nathan Hinkley Josh Harrison Oliver Martin Karl Evans Ryan Hughes Andrew Roe Racing Kanagroos Ben Kersten Ben Johnson Jackson-Leigh Rathbone Caleb Ewan Craig Hutton Billy Hutton Ben Fox Jack McCulloch Tirian McManus Brodie Talbot Kevin Hawes Dan Alcock We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works (Douglas Adams)

Re: National Road SeriesWill be hoping a couple of local guys Brodie Talbot at Racing Kangaroos and Ben Dyball at Genesys can get some results. Don't know either of them, have just watched them do well locally against the likes of Salas and Milostic and hope they can perform well on the national stage.
Thanks for posting up the link Richard. ![]() FPR Ragamuffin
Re: National Road Series
add Alex Wong (LACC) to that
Re: National Road SeriesI saw Dyball race at our crit track opening, the day before the mountain TT. He looks fit these days, not just thin. He won it and then got 2nd in the TT[even with crashing on the flat section]. I bet you will get to see more of him this year Chuck
My local boys Campbell Flakemore and Nathan Earle are looking set for a good year as well. Nice guys off the bike, freakin weapons on it! Mersey Valley tour this weekend Theres a few other guys I know that are racing. Nick Horsley, Callum Fagg and Torben Partridge-Madsen with Boutique Bikes/Tasvent/Tas Style cycling team. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Boutique ... 5231840948 Just a small new local team but its great seeing them get the chance to mix it up with the big boys.

Always interesting to hear from Andrew Christie-Johnston. http://www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentral/video/2228514202/NRS-coordinator-Sean-Muir-talks-to-Cycling-Central Nice to see SBS actually looking at giving us all an idea who the guys that are running the sport in Australia, funny that most can name foreign Administration but have not the foggiest who the Australian players are We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works (Douglas Adams)

Re: National Road SeriesI'd like to see local boy Geoff Straub do better this year - he had some health issues last year but he's such a weapon when he's riding in good form. Spent a few months in Belgium last year which I think was instructional in a lot of ways.
Peter McDonald - never seen anything like that in real life. He goes up hills like he was shot out of a gun. I'm fairly sure this will be his last season though. He started cycling about a decade too late. It's quite hard to follow the NRS - the coverage is patchy at best. Let's hope the Subaru sponsorship helps the series with a better ability to release results in a timely manner. So we get the leaders we deserve and we elect, we get the companies and the products that we ask for, right? And we have to ask for different things. – Paul Gilding
but really, that's rubbish. We get none of it because the choices are illusory.

Re: National Road SeriesMy first experience in a Commissaire's Car in a road race today. There were a few breakaway attempts but didn't last long until inside 10km for the line a break of 10 or so stuck till the finish. Looking forward to a brutal stage tomorrow with the finish line up the Bunya Mtns

Re: National Road SeriesTour of Tassie is on and looking interesting. You can actually get a fairly good idea of what's happening by following #touroftas on twitter, lots of live updates.
Here are some interesting links: Power analysis of the stage 1 hillclimb TTT: http://www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentral/ne ... wellington (some of these guys weigh nothing!) Video update from stage 1: http://nationalroadseries.subaru.com.au ... -tasmania/ More power info from a GPM-Wilson rider: http://wilsonracing.com.au/tracking-eff ... -tasmania/ Following the NRS races is great I reckon, awesome to be able to see how the local guys stack up.
Re: National Road SeriesI was racing against Ben Dyball just a few weeks ago now I know why I was getting belted. Though his power isnt huge he is so light!!!

Re: National Road SeriesDoes BNV realise their 2013 NRS team will have to train on the road?!!! Struth!!!
At least everyone's membership moolah is going back to the members in "some" way. I bet they all crash and blow up like in the movies http://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au/genera ... ing/94256/ The only good Cyclist is a Bicyclist
Huge fan of booted RGers who just can't help themselves
Re: National Road SeriesSeriously don't know how these guys do 2x crits and 2x road races in 2 days. After a single hard crit my legs are smashed even the next day!
Windy Tas is certainly putting big gaps in the field. Drapac dominant.
Re: National Road SeriesGreat result for Ben Dyball at the Tour of Japan....
![]() Looks like it was an uphill ITT http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/tour-o ... -4/results He's having an excellent season in the NRS too. ![]() FPR Ragamuffin
