So what do we think people, would love to see more media coverage of the series. Hopefully SBS continue to show there strong support and even start to show more.

The Teams for this year wonder if a couple more will be elevated to the big show

Will be hoping a couple of local guys Brodie Talbot at Racing Kangaroos and Ben Dyball at Genesys can get some results. Don't know either of them, have just watched them do well locally against the likes of Salas and Milostic and hope they can perform well on the national stage.

Thanks for posting up the link Richard.

I saw Dyball race at our crit track opening, the day before the mountain TT. He looks fit these days, not just thin. He won it and then got 2nd in the TT[even with crashing on the flat section]. I bet you will get to see more of him this year Chuck 8)

My local boys Campbell Flakemore and Nathan Earle are looking set for a good year as well. Nice guys off the bike, freakin weapons on it!

Mersey Valley tour this weekend :D I wont get to see any live but still excited. Supposed to be a nice field this year with good Budget/Drapac squads coming over. Caleb Ewan with the nswis boys will be interesting to watch.

Theres a few other guys I know that are racing. Nick Horsley, Callum Fagg and Torben Partridge-Madsen with Boutique Bikes/Tasvent/Tas Style cycling team. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Boutique ... 5231840948

Just a small new local team but its great seeing them get the chance to mix it up with the big boys.

Nice to see SBS actually looking at giving us all an idea who the guys that are running the sport in Australia, funny that most can name foreign Administration but have not the foggiest who the Australian players are

I'd like to see local boy Geoff Straub do better this year - he had some health issues last year but he's such a weapon when he's riding in good form. Spent a few months in Belgium last year which I think was instructional in a lot of ways.

Peter McDonald - never seen anything like that in real life. He goes up hills like he was shot out of a gun. I'm fairly sure this will be his last season though. He started cycling about a decade too late.

It's quite hard to follow the NRS - the coverage is patchy at best. Let's hope the Subaru sponsorship helps the series with a better ability to release results in a timely manner.
So we get the leaders we deserve and we elect, we get the companies and the products that we ask for, right? And we have to ask for different things. – Paul Gilding
but really, that's rubbish. We get none of it because the choices are illusory.

My first experience in a Commissaire's Car in a road race today. There were a few breakaway attempts but didn't last long until inside 10km for the line a break of 10 or so stuck till the finish. Looking forward to a brutal stage tomorrow with the finish line up the Bunya Mtns :twisted: .

Tour of Tassie is on and looking interesting. You can actually get a fairly good idea of what's happening by following #touroftas on twitter, lots of live updates.

Here are some interesting links:

Power analysis of the stage 1 hillclimb TTT: http://www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentral/ne ... wellington" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (some of these guys weigh nothing!)
Video update from stage 1: http://nationalroadseries.subaru.com.au ... -tasmania/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
More power info from a GPM-Wilson rider: http://wilsonracing.com.au/tracking-eff ... -tasmania/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Following the NRS races is great I reckon, awesome to be able to see how the local guys stack up.

Does BNV realise their 2013 NRS team will have to train on the road?!!! Struth!!!
At least everyone's membership moolah is going back to the members in "some" way. I bet they all crash and blow up like in the movies :roll:

Seriously don't know how these guys do 2x crits and 2x road races in 2 days. After a single hard crit my legs are smashed even the next day!

Windy Tas is certainly putting big gaps in the field. Drapac dominant.
