Mystery frame - can anyone ID this?

I just purchased this as the lugs look interesting and it feel quite light. I have no idea what it is however.
It seems to have a raised 851 (or perhaps 831) in the middle of the bottom bracket and a 50...on the bottom bracket where the stay comes out.
The bottom bracket also has a screw where oil can be added (see pictures)
I think the forks belong to it, but I am unsure if they are perhaps a little bent. If it is only slight is this something that could be repaired or were some older forks not dead straight?
Any help would be great.

Had a closer look today and the forks are definitely bent back a little. Scraped a bit more paint off but have not found more markings.

Speedwell?
I had something very similar and told it was a Speedwell. Had very similar lugs.

I have two just like it. One is a Healing the other a Blue Star (a local qld builder??) The Healing has a headbadge otherwise very similar. I would guess that between about 1930 and 1960 many people made bikes that looked very similar. Serial numbers might identify it but there were so many little bike builders you may never know.

Thanks a lot for the information. I have found some other forks and, with the horizontal drop outs, I think I will (eventually) build a fixed wheel bike out of this frame. (I hate it when fixies are made from classic old bikes - but since this is nothing special it's fair game).

Nice frame! Good luck with finding the floating cups that go in that style of headtube. They can be an issue to get hold of.

Thanks ghostpoet....I got given some crappy looking ones by the person who sold the frame to me......so I will hang on to them just in case - and recycle them as best I can!
