Hi Jim
Yepp, that's the one. After having a couple of chats with the Nicolai guys we found out that I don't need that much travel (120-150) and they
gave me a few very good advices. Very helpful and I got exactly what I want.
Thought about going for the Pinion Gear box first but I had the Rohloff wheelset anyway and it is working excellent.....maybe with the next bike I'll go for
Pinion.
Pinion has problems to deliver their gear box to the bike manufacturers because a few bits, made by automotive suppliers , aren't coming
in. Bit bad, but this is not their fault. Estimated delivery time is now at the beginning of August.
I can highly recommend Nicolai. Bit dodgy in communication sometimes because they have a very restrictive Spam filter in their E-mail system, but a quick
phone call is solving all problems. Give them a AAA.
So far I think about changing the Manitou fork with my old german-a fork and put the Manitou back into the old frame to make up a "shopping-going to work single speed bike" with lower stealing risk.
)) Therefore I need to change the bottom part of the fork from 26" to 29".
If you don't know what fork I'm talking about have a look here.....
http://www.german-a.de/en/kilo.html .That would make the look of the complete bike
a bit more slim.
.
I'll see if this is possible. If not, the world will not go down
.
Regards, BNE
