After all that wild weather in the last few days, it was a glorious ride this morning. A bit of rain near the coast, but I was rugged up and belting down North Rocks Rd. One of those days when it just feels great to be out there on a bike...

Never seen it so deserted as this morning! It did look threatening out to sea, but the rain held off to get a couple of hours in before 8:30.

No rain worth mentioning before 11:30 in the west - so got a dry ride in to Parramatta with no worries.
Skies opened after that, so an afternoon ride would have been miserable.

It actually wasn't raining at 4.40am and didn't until 6am but it just kept raining until I got home
My feet and hands are frozen.
Fantastic ride,
Stay dry,

Wet roads but no rain this morning.
I saw a bongo van in flames at La Perouse with a fire engine in attendance and a fox trying to cross Anzac Parade at Little Bay.
A pretty eventful morning :D

No rain this morning and it was not cold - a very nice ride for this time of year. There are very few people about on the M7 shared path at the moment - even on the nice days when it isn't raining. Didn't see another soul this morning.

Hope to have a dry ride to swimming tonight as well. :D

Sydney weather this morning!!!

Wet ride in this morning, but no rain. Looking out the window in nth Sydney now and it looks like another soggy ride home for me.
Not having a good week. My Garmin 500 died a few days after upgrading the firmware, then my LumiSash shorted out. My rear wheel is still making awful noises, but at least my birthday present is on the way....a Park Tools Ts 2.2 truing stand and tensiometer. Going to practice wheel builds on some old wheels before I tackle a new wheel set build on some good hubs

Sydney weather this morning!!!

Postby mikesbytes » Thu Jun 14, 2012 7:57 am

I managed to forget my rain coat yesterday. Managed to ride West Pennant hills to Top Ryde without getting rained on and did my spin class. We I came out everything was soaked, I looked up and couldn't see a single star. Said to myself, 20 more K's without a rain coat.... Forget it.... Rode to west ryde train station

Nice morning - only wet roads / paths. Was happy that the sun came out but I should have stopped and taken of the rain gear.

The legs were feeling flat - no energy after doing 2km swimming last night while waiting for my daughter doing development squads. This is only the second week doing laps it will get easier in a few months time I hope.

After the ride in this morning I feel like I could eat a horse. :D

no.1 kid off to regional cross country race this morning - so dropped the other two to school - and rode to work. Good ride but still not alot of energy - trying to save up for tonight.

Mrs Westab is watching no.1 kid they are both very excited - they both think it is more fun than school so she is going to try her best to make state not to represent her school, zone or region but to get out of another day of maths  oh well at least there is a goal

A lovely morning very fresh.
Wet roads down south through the RNP and riding into a southerly.
Back in time to clean two bikes - going to rain for sure now
Hope you have a great ride,

Don't know where you found a southerly today - there was a pretty decent westerly to NW wind throughout the
night and Sunday morning. http://www.weatherzone.com.au/station.j ... 37&list=ob. On the
illawarra coast (e.g. Bellambi) it was WSW to W - wonder if you were over-sensitive to just a tad of southerly
direction in the wind ?

Except for all the mud and slush still around, it was a great day to be out. Heaps of
cyclists enjoying it around the Cooks River and Botany Bay cycleways this morning - never seen it quite so busy.

Well I'll never claim to be an expert nor is there a weather vane mounted on my handle bars.
My wife thinks I'm over sensitive too.
There certainly were a lot of cyclists out yesterday in town

It was cold but wouldn't have missed it for anything (almost) - I am looking forward for tomorrow when I don't have early appointments at work and will be up after 6am.

Soft I know but I a well and truly had it now and I still have 40kms to ride today and tonight.

Unfortunately I was in the car on the way in this morning but the sunrise really was spectacular, I had plenty of time to stare at and admire it when stuck in a huge line of stationary cars :(

Riding in tomorrow though, hope I get a nice sunrise for my efforts.

6C when I left home at 6:20. Up to a big 10C when I arrived home two hours later! Barely got close to warm on the climb up McCarrs to Terrey Hills!
