Thanks. Built on a shoestring with stuff from the parts bin and a few bits'n'pieces online.
It's essentially going to be my daily rider for commuting. I just needed to get back on a decent steel frame again.
Some parts will be upgraded as time goes on and cash flows again. BB is an Italian threaded 6400 Ultegra, so I'm going to get hold of some 600 tri colour cranks to bling it up a bit.
The whole project has a longwinded ,but cool story to it, but I'm not gonna bore you with my "cool story Bro"

Moser Leader Ax frame built with DA7700 groupset.

this beaut of a frame came to me a little while ago from Ben in sydney and i had the used DA groupset for next to nothing. paid for the 7700 hubs laced to campy atlanta rims and have tried to imitate Gianni Bugno's racer from just after he became world champion in stuttgart.

Did the full loop with munga and saw elantra this morning on a full loop. Rides like a dream, i'm sooo happy with it!

I did see the Vaeske Moser "in the flesh" on sunday morning.
Very neat.
However his riding buddy - (on a very fast looking Repco)- needs some attention to his dress code before the big event.

Just tarted this rusty old frame up for the exercise. I had a spare healing decal but you'll notice the colour rubs off with thinner! I had a bit of overspray there and wiped it with a damp rag..doh! The HEALING stickers I got off a nice bloke on fleabay who sells vinyl letters. The headbadbge I bodgied up out of gold and black pinstriping.
The main reason for posting is the headset. the original forks were cactus and the bearings partly missing so I bought one of these
Headset
Rather than hacking the frame I just fitted them as is. They don't press in far but I hope will be okay. Its quite a nice headset for the price and the nuts lock up well.

It is only because Elantra has those huge legs like Theo Bos and likes to show them off with lycra :)

Looking forward to July for many reasons now apart from Le Tour. Should be some good bikes on display

My Mercier :D . She's a very comfortable ride, though not quite finished, about to swap the Shimano freewheel for a Maillard item and going to pop on some gumwall tyres soon. Got the jersey from Prendas in the UK, it's actually a pretty close match to the paint but comes out blue in the photo.

Really nice. IMHO Superbe pro is infinitely better than super record. Shifts better and stops better. Probably better than C Record too. Just doesn't look as nice.

I dug my bicycle out of the garden shed last weekend and it cleaned up quite well. It has been in there for at least 15 years.

I was thinking of getting back into occasional cycling and considering getting a Trek 8.4 so I thought I would use my old ride for a while first.

Its nothing special - a Taiwanese made Gemini Triomphe c1989. Any idea what it would be worth if I sell it?
