Re: geox tyresGeox, or Geax?
Geax are Vittoria's MTB range. Similar quality involved. Geax Streetrunner are a really nice 26x1.25" slick tyre that I have used and are rated to 100psi. At that pressure I was nicely surprised by how comfy they were - no harsh road vibration transferred at all. Riding bikes in traffic - what seems dangerous is usually safe; what seems safe is often more dangerous.
Re: geox tyresHi pete
You're right my mistake. I wondered what the tyres were like, mainly because of the race team by the same name. Noticed the team on old files om my hd recorder, when deleting files to make room for tdf recording. Thanks for the info re the relationship to vittoria. Also met a touing cyclist who used them on his run from melbourne around australia. I met him at glen helen after he had cycled the mereenie loop from kings canyon to glen helen. He swore by them, no punctures. He said they handled well on the dirt road and sand Cheers Steve 2011 Trek FX7.5
Re: geax tyresI really liked the Geax Evolutions I had on my old MTB that I used as a commuter. Tough as.
Nice boat BTW
Re: geax tyresI've been sprung.
1986 model, last manufactured run I reckon. Swapped the 120 johno about four years ago for a 115 yammy. Son tells me not allowed to sell it, as he wants it. Always gets you home, no matter the weather. Eerie, only two owners, with the first being from your neck of the woods, ie PL. Just out of interest is you name to do with a certain bay in your area? cheers steve 2011 Trek FX7.5
