Indi 500 Fixie completed
Postby shizmo » Wed Jul 21, 2010 4:55 pm
Parts list -
Frame - Indi500
Stem - 30 Degree Rise bar (Flipped)
Handlebar - Champion cut to Bull Horns
Seat - Old Leather -Unknown Origin
Brake - Shimano
Chainring - Shimano Biospace 52T
Chain - KOOL 1/8 Chain (Made from 2 chains for length)
Wheels/Hub - Gold Alex G6000 with Formula Hub
Tyre - Vittoria Randonneur City Tyre (700x28)
Bar Tape - Cinelli Gold Tape
Pain Job - Primer Grey
Gold Toe Clips - For Extra Gayness
All up with tools and paint stuff cost about 375$... But that also includes bunch of extra stuff, 10 x tyres and other bike parts for future use. And bike rack for inside my place.
Well it was definitely a learning curve, would do things alot differently if i knew what i know now... But that's all part of the process. NOW before anyone says how out of place that bike seat looks i Agree.... I will include a pic with the original intended seat for show but in the end i thought the bike is only ever in 3 places - My apartment wall - My work Basement Parking OR WITH ME SITTING ON IT.... fact is it feels like my ass is floating on clouds that much comfier.... So yeh gona stay on for now until i get bored of looking at it.
I have no idea what model or make it is its pretty tattered and worn - a skittle for whoever can identify it!?!
Bunch of pics ill include them all...... Just cause.....
Where it all Started - Graveyard
Normal Bike Seat
The old boy
Was going for a grey/gold theme at the start.... Wacked the primer on realised it was the perfect colour i was looking for. Clearcoated it and there she is... Not amazingly tough but it will do, might go get powdercoat down the track if need be.....
Now onto starting a bike for me gf :S

I swear I saw this bike pull out of a carpark on mounts street in Perth CBD. I ride up and down that damn hill everyday on a fixed gear (black with gold chainring), say g'day if you see me.
P.S. Nice conversion.

Work on mounts bay road in an office at the base of the mounts bay apartments. But we move out tomorrow to subi, so will now be climbing loftus/thomas street hill instead from now on... goodie.
Thankful that tomorrow will be the last time I have to attack that filthy beast of a hill.
Happy travels

Got a guy offering me a complete Indi 500 Falcon in OK condition, just needs new tires and bar tape and a good clean up.
He wants $120 for it though, so I don't know if it's worth that much. I am wanting to ado a project bike but keep the total cost under $300 excluding tools.
Can anyone offer some insight?
