That generation has been superseded I believe (by the G3) and from past reading back when I was tempted to buy one, they weren't known for their reliability (killing batteries, general failing of the electronics and an issue with axle/freehub bearing pre-load from memory but please have a Google for yourself)
I would also highly doubt they will be Shimano 11spd upgradeable, should you require that feature in the future..

ribble cycles are still cheaper for chains (as long as you are buying a few things as they add delivery)coffeeandwine wrote:PBK

Shimano 105 groupset, etc...
I have the same frame from this bike and it's pretty amazing. (I have the Azzurri Forza Elite)
This is a ridiculous price.

Bought a heap of conti tubes @15 pounds per 5 minus the 15% = ~$20Aus or about $4/tube . Less than half the price from my LBS .
I also grabbed some shimano cleats for $20Aus delivered that LBS wanted $50 for . I was initially excited that there was a new bike shop 3 blocks from me , after one visit I'm over it .
EDIT:corrected my maths ...

I tested it on a Garmin 800 bundle last night and it worked. Brings the price down to $420 or something like that. Pretty good considering a guy flogged off the cadence and hr on here for $100. Would bring the price down to $320.troyww wrote:This is off already discouted prices but excludes bikes and gps .

It actually works but just make sure you compare with other sites too. I had a few things on my basket already but noticed that prices for everything went up so pretty much useless discount.troyww wrote:15% off (AT) Wiggle EXTRA15 . This is off already discouted prices but excludes bikes and gps .

i knew a price like this would come around just when i get one.paulz wrote:Bikeforce Docklands has Garmin Edge 500 Black/Red with HRM & Cadence for about $279. Great price...I tried to get one on-line but they won't sell it to me as apparently "at that price they are losing money on the units and the pricing is designed to get people into the shop". I checked their website and their is no mention that this is an in-store special.

Aren't there warranty issues with Garmin units bought outside of Australia?joomz wrote:Can get the blue bundle from Wiggle for $268 with the EXTRA15 discount. If it stuffs up you need to send it back to the uk. Personally I can deal with that to save a few hundred (garmin 610).stinhambo wrote:Aren't there warranty issues with Garmin units bought outside of Australia?

I had an issue, sent my 500 back to Wiggle and they sent me a new unit. Clean and easy just takes a little while for postage both ways.Purt wrote:If it stuffs up you need to send it back to the uk. Take the 20% VAT off, add on the 30 euros to ship it and the foreign currency conversion fee and I finished up paying $265.
The best local price I found/was given for the same thing was just shy of $400 delivered. Even the UK and US mobs could only get as close as $340 delivered with most much closer to the local retail.
The sliding euro could provide some useful prices in the sorter term...

Charge Spoon Saddle with Cromo Rails : £17.49
I have a charge spoon saddle and it is my favourite saddle - ranks extremely well against the bigger brands for a fraction of the price
Knog N.E.R.D. 5 Function Wireless Cycle Computer: £26.59
Not really for the road cyclists - but a fun cycle computer that is nice for commuting and has the silicon strap to take on and off.
