I indulge in a big cup of Milo (and usually a heaped teaspoon full of milo too) in all but summer - in summer it doesn't happen as I drink heaps of water.

Sometimes I go the odd packet of chips - I am not good but I will not worry about it as long as my weight stays between 70 & 80 kg. If I do go above 80kg I just force myself to stay above 30km/h on the shared path all the time on the way home and watch the snacks I eat. Presto 3 weeks later I am back where I should be - keep going one more week because fast is fun and then usually stuff up again.

It also only seems to happen this time of the year. :(
Not fast, no style, but still get there.

The simplest method is to base your intake on a standard 'calories per unit of weight (usually kilograms)'. Typically:
- 26 to 30 kcals/kg/day for normal, healthy individuals with sedentary lifestyles doing little physical activity [12.0-14 kcal/pound]
Hmmm....

I am a male, 87kg, 20% bodyfat. BMR is ~1800 Cals, TDEE = 2300. 30 * 87 = 2610 Cals.
That 300 Calorie overestimate is going to see me with 14kg extra fat at the end of a year.

For an 87kg 'normal' woman, BMR = 1650Cals and TDEE = 2100 Cals. So they'll be 23kg heavier at the end of the year.
87kg normal woman ay
If you can't explain it simply, then you don't understand it well enough.

I used to do this, eat the little snack size ones in the afternoon, until I started taking more notice of the Nutritional section on the back.
Most I find are at least 30% fat so I now avoid them completely

I ride home at ~ 3:30pm. This sort of helps me avoid the afternoon munchies. I drink some water before and during the ride and I have a small handful of nuts when I get home. We always have dinner around 6pm. I find I get the munchies worse when I don't ride and chips are my enemy.
