There was a one-off velomobile made by the manufacturers of the Quest - a sociable two-seater.
Shown in this video of the 142 velobiles at a Dutch rally, it seems to slip along pretty nicely despite its bulk.

There was a two seat Quest over here a year or so back. It had been modified to electric power only though.
They drove it Albany to I think Sydney. Batteries charged by the wind. On the Nullabor the used a kite to tow it.
