Hi Guys,
Was looking for people's opinions on this...
I currently ride most days (6 days a week) doing around 17-20hrs a week. Week is structured like this:
Mon - Endurance ride ~2-3hrs w/ 2x20min at ~90-100% FTP
Tue - Endurance ride 3-4hrs
Wed - Track training (~2.5-3hrs)
Thur - Recovery 1.5hrs
Fri - Endurance ride ~3-4hrs w/ 3x20min at ~80-90% FTP
Sat - Endurance ride ~4-5hrs
Sun - Off.
Come close to target race time, the total hours will drop to ~15 a week. The format will be pretty much the same, except with shorter intervals.
So basically I have 5 days with reasonable work levels, and two days recovery. I wanted to go to sprint training at the track, which happens on thursdays. What I was thinking was still ride easy in the morning, but do the sprint training thursday night. I would therefore only get one day of complete recovery, instead of two. Thrudsday night would be very short duration (only a few efforts), however it is maximum effort.
Do people think I would be over doing it by going from two recovery days to one?
Cheers
