Rode the Three Gorges. I've never seen the Berowra Waters ferry so full of cyclists.
I lost a chain ring bolt on the Old Pacific Highway between Berowra and Bobbin Head . There was a noise that I thought was my pedal but it stopped.
When I got home I found I was missing a chain ring bolt and the noise was the bolt scraping on the chain stay
So check everything's tight.
According to Garmin it was 2 degrees C at the bottom of Galston Gorge at 7am
Hope you have a great ride,
Peter

"Fresh" is my polite way of describing freezingDaveOZ wrote:Fresh? I can't believe how different the weather is up here. 4C and 35km/h winds with an apparent temp of -1. But I have all the right gear and a hot shower at work.
As noted previously my Garmin registered 2 degrees C on Sunday morning in Galston Gorge and it felt like it At least the wind has settled down in Sydney.
I bet the mornings in the Southern Highlands could freeze the balls off a brass monkey.
Cheers,
Peter

When I was waiting at a set of lights there were a couple of ladies having a laugh at how "rugged up yet cold" I looked. Funny I agree but within 3 min I was riding along listening to Bell birds and throwing an old apple to a friendly horse in one of the paddocks. We are lucky to be enjoying such pleasures.

Still an awesome ride. My missus ridiculous work hours are enabling me to pile on the Kilometres.
What else to do at 4.30 in the morning but ride.
Have a good one,
Peter
