Same issues. Tapatalk keeps insisting I have exceeded the max number of login attempts then asks for a captcha that it can't display.

So, I did an experiment. I logged out of the main site (which I usualyl have set to remember who I am). I then logged in. Lo and behold, told I had exceeded the max login attempts. I went through the Captcha thing and logged in. Then, I immediately logged out. When I tried to login again I was told I had exceeded the maximum number of logins and had to go through the whole Captcha thing again!

Ok, so I don't think that Tapatalk is the issue. There is something dodgy going on with the server.

I'll try resetting my password and see if that resolves it.

Update: Changing my password has fixed the max login attempts on the PC, but Tapatalk still says no :-(

We have reverted back to the old settings - so 'port81' access issues hopefully should be solved.

As explained, the captcha was actually not the problem - rather because tapatalk won't show the captcha, and a new login was required after the update, this interrupted access.

Now as the settings have been reverted it unfortunately don't mean that tapatalk access is resolved if a login is required anyway though I am onto it to see what I can do without dropping the security of the forum.

I just got a couple of 500 errors editing a post. Edit worked but on refresh it spat 500. Might be nothing but worth reporting.

Issue seems to be back again.

No captcha, just not accepting password.

No problems so far, got booted regularly and more than a few 81s from work this morning.

Hi Christopher, many thanks for your efforts on this and your individual email responses.
I'm really pleased to be back accessing the forum and seeing what I have missed for the last few days!
Cheers,

Thanks everyone. We didn't see a significant performance increase so reverted rather than look to resolve the problems, though will next look at other options for improving performance.
