I am writing this for future reference as I have a shocking short term memory, and following it up with a new thread entitled 'Things I forgot today' just to be on the safe side.
P.S. the cats funeral and wake will be on Tuesday. Bring a plate

1. 9-speed chain works brilliantly on a 7 speed cassette
2. Gatorskins are very hard to get on and off an old Campag rim.
3. Those magnetized thingamys that you get for kitchen things are even better for holding tools vertically in the shed

Starbucks make a variety of these that all fit a bottle cage. I favour the ones without a handle. I always have a coffee on the bike. I feel it is the civilised thing to do.Spork! wrote:Today I learned that they do make double skin stainless drink bottles (thermos style) to fit a bike bottle holder. Mate, there is an intersection in downtown VAncouver where there was a Starbucks on all 4 corners.open roader wrote:I learnt today that there are no less than 10 Starbucks Shops in Vienna, Austria of all places............ civilization is collapsing..........
Whistler Village alone has 3. Ah, the Pacific Northwest, not just famous for sasquatch.
You need to try a hot chocolate with whipped cream and choccy sauce when it is minus 10 or so. That's yummy !!

Yeah, I said "was" cos I vaguely recall there being less last time I was there. 10 years ago there was one on all 4 corners.il padrone wrote:This?Ken Ho wrote:Mate, there is an intersection in downtown VAncouver where there was a Starbucks on all 4 corners.open roader wrote:I learnt today that there are no less than 10 Starbucks Shops in Vienna, Austria of all places............ civilization is collapsing..........

I went in and asked for a hot choccy, but I only had Australian currency. They just gave me one for free. It was a cold winter day and Starbucks won my heart with that generosity. It's easy to knock 'em, but they started out as one shop and just did well by offering service and quality.

Pup cannot tell the difference between a brand new Bontrager tube and a Black snake. I think this tube is beyond repair.
