Mark it in your diaries - Pushies Galore is on again this year, 14 & 15 July 2012. Saturday 14 July there will be a launch party and photo exhibition opening kicking off at 5pm. Sunday 15 July doors open at 10am to the public. All on at the Holland Park Bowls Club. Should be a good weekend with plenty more yet to be announced. Stay up-to-date on the Biking Brisbane site.

Gav
This is going to be such a blast. Also having both Llewellyn and Joe Cosgrove there is great. Sure to outdo last years. Should be some nice bikes in the show and shine this year....

We're excited to announce our two special guests coming up for Pushies Galore this year. Mick Peel (Busyman) and Andy White (Fyxomatosis) will be at this year's event. They'll be involved in a few talks, show 'n' shine judging and some other activities. Say g'day to them - they're both lovely fellows.

There's going to be a series of roller races on the Sunday afternoon (15 July) during Pushies. If you haven't had a go before, it's plenty of fun. We're getting people to pre-register if they want a go. It's a 500m sprint with 2 riders at a time. The forks are locked in, so you don't move around as much. Registration link here

I so enjoyed the day last year. Thanks for getting it all up and happenning. To my dismay I find I am away in Adelaide that day and I had my Madison all ready for the Brisbane made exhibition. I was really looking forward to meeting a few forum members too. I am sure it will be a fantastic day again and I hope there will be some photos on the forum.

Koen - if you're still in town on the Saturday 14 July, at 5pm we're having a launch at the Bowls Club. Or if so inclined, there is planned on Friday 13th what I believe the kids are calling an "alleycat."

Pushies Galore is happening this weekend. Everything is going on as planned with the weather. It's happening rain, hail or shine. The Sunday is looking like it might clear up as well. All this weekend's activities are listed on the Pushies Galore page. See you Saturday for the opening party at 5pm or the Sunday from 10am.

What a great show. Headed down there this morning with the kids. Picked a few bargains: old Record hubs; Benotto tape; and a t-shirt from Joe Cosgrove's stall. Brilliant time, thanks Gavin for putting it on.

What a diverse group of people there. I don’t know what I was expecting to be honest. Maybe lots of Roadies? Then my riding style is “bike commuter no friends"

Had a sensational couple of hours there this afternoon. Like others, dragged along my non-cycling wife, and she enjoyed it as well!! Well-organised, and heaps of shiny stuff to stare at and drool over. Can't wait until next year's event!! Well done to the organisers!!

It was a great day, we popped in for a bit, Mr MM was drooling over all the old steelies, loved the diverse crowd too all bound by the love of the bike...in whatever form!
Nice to say hi to a few familiar faces too.

Pushies Galore brought the sun back to Brisbane. What a great day. Met a few BNAers, a few frame builders and saw tons of fantastic bikes. Winning the Cooper was pretty good too.

What a great day, the weather was ever so kind. Some really beautiful bikes, I didn't buy a lot of stuff, just some virtually new handlebars ($5) for a singlespeed commuter that I'm building. I got to meet and chat with a number of good blokes which was probably the highlight of the day.
To all involved - Congratulations.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

Travelled from Sunny Coast . Reminded me of the old car swap meets...quite novel. The guy in the corner with the dramatic hair & BMXs was a classic!!!! Can't work out why there were not more retail shops taking advantage of such a dedicated crowd, great day. I bought a seat, rims, vintage bidon holder.
PS: perhaps two coffee vendors next year?

Hi Munga, that would be Waco who owned the Farleigh. I don't have his contact details, but he well known in bike circles. Try asking Andy at Flashing Pedals or Mark at Epic. They may have contact details.
