Me too but I am getting sick of cleaning the machine again - it was gleaming after a clean on Friday night. Now it looks like I have dragged it of of a muddy river.find_bruce wrote:makes you appreciate the hot shower at the end - at least that's what I keep telling myselfhumanbeing wrote:Constant showers this morning in the east.

Is this rain my fault again - clean white bike is just asking for it?

Had to hose the damn thing down this morning as I had so much dirt caked everywhere, even on the brake pads! If I were to commute in the rain, mudguards will definitely be on the shopping list.
Speaking of mudguards... Any discreet slim road bike specific ones you guys can recommend?

I've gotta take my share of the blame for the foul weather as I cleaned and serviced 3 bikes on the weekend

Rain couldn't decide whether it wanted to keep coming or not, so it was off then on again with the rain jacket.
Traffic was appalling ... and then I got left-hooked by an electrician entering the northern end of Kent St from The Argyle Cut. Fortunately, I saw it coming.

Enjoyed the ride in the fresh conditions but am hoping to ride in the sun to swimming tonight - it will be a nice change after all the wet over the last few days. (this is not just the rain as the washing machine popped a hose yesterday and flooded the garage - still at least it was repairable ).

I use these http://www.crudproducts.com/products/roadracer/ as do a couple of other people at work. They're easy to fit to a road bike and work well. Because they sit very close to the tyre they're not obvious at all.NhiTrac wrote:Went along the M5 at 5am this morning. Didnt get rained on but the wet road turned my road bike into a muddy road bike
