I had a 8-10cm wide lipoma removed from my back yesterday under general anesthetic, so no riding for a bit lest i pull the stitches. <sigh>

When you are playing the part of a sightseeing tourist a bike makes heaps of sense. For those reasons (as well as the usual feeling of wellness that we get at home).

I took my toy to Mauritius last Christmas and it made the holiday. :D Best choice I ever made.

I will again be taking it with me when I do a few weeks in France living on a barge.

And when I visit my bro in Adelaide.

you're just teasing me - the weather isn't helping my cause (riding, but no extra KMs). Not looking good for the start of this strava challenge on Sunday either

If your bus trip was like mine yesterday morning, it might make your back worse! The driver was alternating between 100% accelerator and 0% accelerator in a 2-second cycle all the way, apart from when he was texting. His eyes were also rolling around as if he was trying to watch the gravitron. I was thinking, "and I'm paying for this?!?".

I'd be putting in a complaint especially with regard to the texting!

Another bus day, a whole week of the wet stuff, it better be fine next week

you need a wet weather bike. I never clean Kermit...just occasionally wipe and lube the chain.

currently discussion n+1 with Mrs JasonC. But the +1 would be a weekend (only) bike leaving the Giant for the CCR action and would still be ridden in all weather (have been discussing mud guards with InTheWoods)

can I justify a +1 for less than 2000kms a year?

That's a reason not an excuse. Your presence here is unnecessary.

I do hope your lass comes good, much rather be sick meself than have one of the kids that way.

Maybe the excuse should state "the daughter has something that is possibly contagious and lots of people at work have young kids"

trust me - I'd much prefer to be sick than her too

Agreed. This thread is for people who are too soft or lame to ride; not for people who are being good parents. Begone.

Oh, and yes, I hope your little girl feels better soon. ;)

Turns out fitting my own new brake pads is fiddlier than I'd anticipated. I need about five more very tiny hands?! ::le sigh:: Off to YouTube tech ...

I'm out for tomorrow. Had a short leg stretcher ride on the MTB this evening and faceplanted into a ditch  Mainly bruising to the right arm that took the brunt of a very undignified landing but I musta banged the left knee going OTB, it's tender and a little swollen.

Taking your handle a bit too literally there Mulga

He turned the cycle down the hill and mounted for the fray,
But 'ere he'd gone a dozen yards it bolted clean away.
It left the track, and through the trees, just like a silver steak,
It whistled down the awful slope towards the Dead Man's Creek.

At least the two-wheeled outlaw hasn't shaken all your nerve

My windstopper vest and bicycle jacket haven't come back from the alterations shop (broken zips in both cases) so no riding for me today.
