The Yoga helps with the shoulder injury and a host of other things.
Should be a few changes over the next few months as I settle into some sort of routine.

I would ask the same, did you notice that I had my Aldi knicks on this morning?mikesbytes wrote:Did you notice that I had Audi knicks on this morning?
I am getting to like it more and more. The texture of the fabric feels nicer than those typical Lycra out there. In view of my terrible experience with that Castelli and the need for a good pair for those longer rides, I was lucky to come across a pair of Pearl Izumi (IQ) today at a significant discount.
I guess I'll have to rework my message... "My other pair has more IQ!"

I was going to buy a pair of Castelli's cos I like the tops. I'll have a look at yours sometime and see if they have the same problem as one of my Netti's pairs.sogood wrote:I would ask the same, did you notice that I had my Aldi knicks on this morning?mikesbytes wrote:Did you notice that I had Audi knicks on this morning?

I'll bring my Castelli on Sun and show you. Just not impressed at all. Strange that others in our club are happy with them.mikesbytes wrote:I was going to buy a pair of Castelli's cos I like the tops. I looked at the UNOs today too and was amazed by the price ($50/pair). The chamois looked to be like Netti's (blue/white padding with a rear V cut) and the edges were well treated. For the price, seemed to be very good value. I was going to get it until I came across this one pair of IQ that has lost its tags, for which I received a good discount. Anyway, unless there's some major wear issue, I think I've invested enough on knicks for a while.
I probably would have crossed path with MichaelMck if I rode in the other direction. I've now increased my weekday morning ride to 20km.... That bridge over Victoria Rd sucks!!! I ended up slamming against the rails twice this morning.

The problem I have with the Netti knicks is that the stitching on the seam irritrates the skin and causes a rash. My other Netti knicks, which have a different internal design do not have this problem.
Edit: If you want to see some real quality padding, I'll show you the bib-kicks I got from PBK

Yes, some of the chamois these days are so fancy. One I saw today by Louis Garneau was like a waffle... What were they thinking?mikesbytes wrote:Edit: If you want to see some real quality padding, I'll show you the bib-kicks I got from PBK
IQ's chamois is also quite fancy by my judgement. It's even nicely colour coordinated. Anyway, the truth comes after an 80km ride. I'll see what how it performs on Sun.

I don't know if this is okay (being a newbie, I'm not fully aware of the rules), but try Cycling and Sports Clothing Outlet at www.cyclingsports.com.au. They have an on-line ordering system. I hope this isn't considered a ''commercial plug" as I'm just trying to return the favour for the help you guys gave me in selecting my new bike.
regards, Wayne
