Hmmm.. don't want to make this a bigger deal than it is, but I think pentlandexile bid on his TI Raleigh after I'd flagged that it was (sadly for me) in Brisbane. Different ways to of viewing these matters, I guess. No secrets on the 'net really, anyway.
If it bothers some people, happy to pull my head in. Was looking on behalf of a mate, (see posts above). My assessment was that the info I needed was more valuable than alerting someone who may compete. Risk assessment.

Its got Shimano RSX 7 speed that seems to work okay. Not sure of the build date though.

Not sure if you're aware, but it's meant to be poor form to keep posting eBay auctions on forums which can white-ant those that make an effort to scour eBay for that special bike, just to have it brought to the attention of a larger audience who might just bid the price up.

Posting ebay links isn't against forum rules. People need to get over themselves. Complaining about stuff like this is just petty.

Yes, people believe this. You will note the language I used, they aren't my thoughts, although it sort of made sense to me when pointed out. I got bollocked in another forum for this (not a bike forum). Maybe no-one here is bothered. I honestly don't care. I'd never bid on eBay bikes anyway; I'd only ever Buy it Now with bikes as in normal auctions everyone's more likely to bid more than ol' Tightarse Stuey, and on eBay most bikes I like go for more than I reckon they're worth.

Besides, I'm in WA - nothing ever comes up in WA.

Yeah, I just pointed out yesterday to the seller that some drop bars advertised on eBay as 'alloy bars and alloy stem' were those steel ones with the alloy sleeve. I sent a message saying (exactly this) "Mate those bars are steel...". They sold before the seller replied to me, 'Yep, with an alloy centre'. I suspect the buyer would not be happy. The seller had 100% positive feedback, though...

I am working on this Shogun mixte, looking for opinions. I was thinking white cables, and downtube shifters? but I have lots of other parts in the spares box.

im a fan of the cables that have the clear cover, (check out my Shoguns on this thread) the silver colour seems to go well with anything and i think would look especially nice with the blue. and what's that ya got in the box there ?

Yeah, I think I might go with the old school looking cables. The saddle and bars sort of looked good..... but I think I'll put some silver ladies 'W' handlebars on and a honey colour saddle.

In the box..... It's a bike silly. lol.

$60 is a good price. Offer him $40 and meet somewhere in the middle.

It should have Shimano 400ex gears and Exage brakes and hubs.

I have a Shogun Samurai frame with headset/BB/stem/seatpost..all original.
Tange Infinity tubes..not sure of the year but it was kitted out in full 7 speed RX100.
Does anyone want first dibs before I stick it on Ebay???
I have the RX100 derailleurs/downtube shifters and brake calipers as well if interested.
Apologies if this is braking any rules of trading access.
Sorry should add, is silver with white lettering...Top tube is 54/55 cm down tube is 56/57 and it is in Sydney.

My Shogun 600. I dated it to around 1983.
Non Index shimano 12 speed.
SR Cranks.
Picked it up for $64 and replaced the seat, Bar Tape, Cables, Outers and Tires.
Also Had some cinelli bars and stem lying around so put them on.
All up about $200, but worth it; rides awesome.

8 speeds with single-side Huret friction shifter on Sugino 52T crank

New wheels, cassettes, chain, brake pads, bullhorn, seatpost and other small bits....all up around $350....

Really happy with the ride quality even on 23mm with 110psi/120psi...may be because the geometry is slack to start with????
I should have go for a narrower bullhorn, 38cm instead of 40cm, oh well....
may be side-pull brakes as upgrade in the future???

Was wondering just rescued a teal blue Selectra from neighbors trash found it while riding my GT GTR series 2 so I rode home and got it with the car. Did they come with 105 brakes it also has a profile bar and relocated shifters. Just rescued a 1992 Paramount for my son so not sure what to do with this one?

It's taken along time, but I finally got around to building the Shogun back up. A friend asked me if I had any 57cm frames so I had a look and showed him the ones I had and he picked the Samurai. The colour scheme is based on the classic Ford GT40. I think it looks ace.
