Looked up Robert Forstemann on London2012's iPad app and found the following statistics.
Mens sprint - 7th
Mens team sprint - Bronze
Looks like his muscle bulk has done him some good. I need an extra 26kg of muscle!
Seems like its not all about the quads if that amount of muscle mass can only lead him to 7th individual and 3rd in team events. It would probably actually pay the man to lose a bit of quad bulk and he might actually become a better rider or switch sports to powerlifting. You'd bet the competitiors who finished ahead of him don't have quads to match his. All seems a waste of time/training/PEDS other than bragging rights.
