Thieves steal 40 bicycles worth $300k from Fyshwick
About 40 high performance bicycles with an extimated value of about $300,000 have been stolen from a trailer in Fyshwick over the weekend, police have said.
An investigation has begun into the theft of the 2013 Trek brand bicycles, which police say were stolen sometime between 8pm Friday and 9am yesterday.
The push bikes were being stored in a secure trailer on Townsville Street in Fyshwick.
Police believe the bikes, which are high-performance models not yet available to the public, were loaded into an unidentified vehicle over a period of about an hour.
Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity on Townsville Street at the weekend is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or http://www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

What happened with this?
I remember taking a Trek for demo and bringing it back later a little later than planned and they treated me like a bike thief.
Now they get 40 bikes stolen by a genuine thief. Karma much?
